Underdog Rips Reviews & Ratings 2026
Underdog Rips lets you pull sports trading card packs digitally. From there, you can either get the physical cards you’ve pulled mailed to your door, or sell them back to the platform at their Fair Market Value (FMV).
Sounds like a lot of fun, right? And our Underdog Rips review for today will unpack the ins and outs of the service - which we reckon is remarkably competitive when compared against other popular card ripping platforms. Here’s our take on Underdog Rips’ collectible card game (CCG) coverage, payment options, customer support, and all-round pros and cons.
- Offers no-nonsense single-card pack pulls
- Available in most states
- Superb for sports card collectors
- App-only service
What CCGs and card types does Underdog Rips cover?
A lot of other card ripping sites we’ve reviewed cover a mix of Pokémon, One Piece, and other popular CCGs. But Underdog Rips (or Rips) positions itself purely as a platform for sports card pulls only.
Pack options available at the time of writing included:
- Sports Starter
- Sports All-Star
- Sports Legend
- And others
Each of which we found will contain just one randomized NBA, NFL, or MLB card when ripped. All packs are currently advertised as featuring either a raw authenticated card or one officially graded and stamped by PSA, BGS, CGC, or SGC. Underdog Rips’ pricing is competitive, too - with packs starting at $5 and going right the way up to $2,500.
Some high-value cards currently in Underdog’s vault with a chance of being inside their high-roller $1,000 and $2,500 packs include:
- 2020 National Treasures Justin Herbert Rookie Patch Autograph (RPA) - last valued at $27,574.
- 2018 Josh Allen Rookie Ticket Auto - last valued at $26,023.
- 2000 SP Tom Brady Rookie Card - last valued at $25,859.
Transparent pulling probabilities are listed for each tier, but not for individual cards. There is also a fun “Toss Up” feature which offers a 50/50 probability toggle on qualifying $5 and $25 packs when triggered.
Overall, we think the app is worthy of top Underdog Rips ratings for sports card collectors. And we like the unusual one-card-per-pack approach used here, too, which is a great fit for folks who enjoy chasing premium card rips solo, with no pack fillers. That said, lovers of Pokémon or other CCGs might be better off checking out some of the other card ripping sites linked in our banners.
User experience - how does Underdog Rips work?
We found that currently, Underdog Rips can only be accessed from the “Games” section of the broader Underdog brand’s main app, which is better known for its daily fantasy sports (DFS) and other services.
This kinda sucks for folks who like opening card packs from their PC, right? The Rips service does have a website. But right now, this acts only as an FAQs hub with info on how the app works.
The good news? Underdog Rips’ app is easy to use - and tons of fun, too. On the main dashboard, you simply cycle through the packs available, then tap the one you want to buy. Once purchased, you can literally tear the pack open yourself digitally. The cartoon-inspired ripping animation then triggers a randomized baseball/basketball/football generator, which will finally reveal your card.
Once your card has been confirmed digitally, you have three options:
- “Redeem” the physical card - this simply involves confirming your US address to get it shipped.
- “Hold” the card in your digital collection - you can store cards for up to three days via the “My Card Stash” tab.
- Ask for a “Buyback” - you can sell unwanted cards back to Underdog Rips instantly, at 100% of the FMV price the app displays for you.
Security and availability - can Underdog Rips be trusted?
As it stands, Underdog Rips is available to over-18s in all US states except for . We found that their app uses strict geo-tracking and regional account verification tools to prevent access from anywhere off-limits, too - which is a definite green flag, security-wise.
Of course, the broader Underdog brand dates back to 2020, and we think its App Store and Google Play ratings speak for themselves. This is a legit company offering a solid card ripping service, basically.
Here are some of the key security and peace of mind features we ran into when writing today’s Underdog Rips review:
- High-security vault storage - physical cards are archived and stored in climate-controlled vaults for protection.
- Signed deliveries on high-value shipments - Underdog Rips relies on this as its main safeguard against mail fraud or theft.
- Shipment tracking tools - their app lets you view the transit and tracking status of any cards you’ve requested shipping for.
Payment options - what cards and e-wallets are offered?
Choose to sign up with Underdog Rips, and you might be surprised by their payment options. Why? Well, unlike the site’s CCG coverage, the payment options are actually much more varied than your average card ripping platform.
Currently, you can fund your account using VISA, MasterCard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and Venmo - although the availability of Apple/Google Pay depends on whether you’re using the iOS or Android version of the app.
In terms of card shipping, though, things are a bit more complicated. We found there are three different secure vaults used by Underdog Rips to store physical cards - and this means there’s a lot of variation in terms of fulfillment and delivery times. Here’s what to expect:
| Card vault | Fulfillment/processing time | Total delivery waiting time |
|---|---|---|
| PSA Vault | Approx. one week | 2-3 weeks |
| Fanatics Vault | 2-7 business days | 1-2 weeks |
| Alt Vault | 2-7 business days | 1-2 weeks |
These shipping times admittedly aren’t the fastest we’ve seen. But we were happy to hear Underdog Rips doesn’t tack on any additional shipping or admin fees on top of the “raw shipping and handling costs” charged directly by these vault providers.
You can view estimated shipping costs for your own cards via the app’s “Redeem” tab.
Customer support - has Underdog Rips got your back?
If you ever encounter any issues with the platform, we found you can simply log in to Underdog Rips’ app and tap the live chat icon to contact someone who’ll help.
Friendly agents always responded to us within a few minutes max whenever we tested this service. Although it does have a downside - we found you can’t currently upload images or add attachments when chatting. This is a bit of a bummer if you want to submit a “Damage Report” or a complaint about shipping, which is something we found you can do here within 10 business days of any unsatisfactory delivery.
Email is available as an alternative support option, though, and might be a better option for more serious complaints. For lighter issues, we’d suggest visiting Underdog Rips’ info-only website, which offers a ton of genuinely helpful FAQs about how Underdog Rips works, average shipping times, and more.

Any bonus offers for new Underdog Rips customers?
We didn’t see an Underdog Rips bonus advertised today, unfortunately. Instead, the brand’s promotions are all for Underdog Rips’ much longer-running DFS service.
In all fairness, though, the “Rips” option only dropped on their app super recently. With this in mind, we’ve published a bonus guide covering our thoughts on what sorts of bonuses Underdog Rips might unveil in the future. This article, which we’ve linked for you above, also digs deeper into examples of existing user promos that may or may not make appearances.
Is there an Underdog Rips VIP program?
No, there are no tiered VIP rewards available with Underdog Rips right now either. Here’s to hoping Underdog Rip beefs things up a bit in the bonus department going forward.
My Underdog Rips review conclusion
We’re huge fans of Underdog Rips. Because let’s face it, not many other providers offer no-nonsense opportunities to rip high-value sports cards on a one-by-one basis, with such a varied price structure.
Sure, it sucks that there aren’t any Pokémon, One Piece, or other popular CCGs covered by Underdog Rips right now. And their app-only functionality and lack of bonus offers won’t suit everybody, either. But if you’re a serious sports card collector, and you enjoy rookie pouches, pristine PSA-graded slabs and the like, we think Underdog Rips has a lot to offer - from transparent pull probabilities and a 50/50 toggle mode to fun, cartoon-style card reveals.
