Few Preakness horses carry the intrigue Muth does. The Bob Baffert-trained horse closed as the favorite in futures pool No. 2 in Preakness Stakes odds and likely would have been among the favorites in the Kentucky Derby. The Churchill Downs ban of Baffert entries was extended through 2024, and Muth sat the race out. But Pimlico Race Course doesn’t share that ban, and the colt is ready to show out in the second Triple Crown race.

Mar. 30: Jumped out to the front and never fell behind it at the Arkansas Derby. Pulled away in the final quarter mile, winning the race by three lengths. In the field included Kentucky Derby winner Mystik Dan and Derby runner Just Steel.
