Giants Injury Analysis

The biggest key for the Giants right now is the continued absence of Andrew Thomas. He went on IR, and his season is over. Without Thomas in the fold, the Giants gave up a whopping eight sacks for 62 yards against the Eagles. The offensive line will have a similarly difficult matchup here against a fierce pass rush without their All-Pro.

Unfortunately for the G-Men, RT Jermaine Eleumenor is also questionable after missing Friday’s practice.

On the other side of the ball, there was some early good news and some early concerning news.

Standout DL Dexter Lawrence returned on Friday to log a limited practice. He’s the best player on the defense by a mile, so he’ll be needed.

EDGE Brian Burns missed Friday’s practice, so his status is up in the air. It looks a little more grim for CB Adoree’ Jackson, who has yet to practice. The defense may be short-handed here.

Steelers Injury Analysis

Rookie starting C Zach Frazier has missed the first two practices of the week. He’ll likely be out again, leaving Ryan McCollum in his place. McCollum has two career starts, so blocking the Giants IDL will be a monumental challenge, especially with G Nate Herbig on IR.

T Troy Fautanu is also on iR

EDGE Nick Herbig looks like he’ll be out as well after missing the first two practices of the week. He’s a supporting piece in the pass rush.

RB Cordarrelle Patterson looks like he’ll return from an ankle injury. That likely pushes Jaylen Warren back into a bit role.
