Bengals Injury Analysis
Starting LT Orlando Brown is listed as doubtful for the Bengals. That puts this offense in a precarious spot. Brown isn’t an amazing player, but he’s a solid starter, and the Bengals are already thin at tackle because Trent Brown is on IR.
Andrew Stueber, a 2022 seventh-round pick who has one offensive snap in the NFL, backs Brown up. Facing an intimidating pass rush led by Micah Parsons, look out for a potential mismatch here.
As if the defense hadn’t performed poorly enough thus far, starting LB Logan Wilson looks like his season is over after he elected for surgery on his knee. He was playing through the injury, but with the Bengals’ season meaningfully over, there’s little reason to push it.
DT Sheldon Rankins also missed the first practice of the week. But his absence is due to an illness, so he’ll likely be ready to go by Monday.
Cowboys Injury Analysis
Superstar WR CeeDee Lamb headlines the injured here, nursing a sprained shoulder. However, he says he’s going to play on Monday, so that shouldn’t be a major concern.
Instead, the Cowboys are hurting up front as well. Former All-Pro G Zack Martin hurt his ankle and won’t play. The franchise legend will reportedly consider retirement. He was already struggling this year, and it appears his best days are well behind him.
LT Tyler Guyton missed practice and probably won’t play. He said he had a high ankle sprain after the win over New York. Those typically require a multi-week absence.
Unlike Cincinnati, though, the Cowboys have backups in Brock Hoffman and Chuma Edoga who actually have some experience.
The Cowboys could have a couple of solid performers returning. TE Jake Ferguson logged a full practice and looks set to return from a concussion. EDGE Demarcus Lawrence sounds like a longer shot, but he’s eligible to come off IR.
