MLB Today’s Best Bets for June 6: Home Run Picks & Top Player Props
Welcome back to my best MLB bets today for June 6! We have a pair of strikeout fades circled and home run picks in St. Louis where the weather and the matchup both line up beautifully. Here are the best MLB picks today for Saturday!
Best MLB Bets Today: Player Props for June 6
Ben Brown under 15.5 outs at -142 on DraftKings Sportsbook is my top MLB bet today as the Chicago Cubs host the San Francisco Giants.
Brown has been a pleasant surprise for the Cubs this season, and the underlying metrics are encouraging. According to Baseball Savant, he carries a 26% strikeout rate and ranks in the 71st percentile in both whiff percentage and chase percentage. Brown also sports a shiny 2.92 xERA, which backs that up.
This post-hype sleeper finally found something. However, two things are working hard against him today. Brown hasn't exceeded 83 pitches in any start this season, which puts a hard ceiling on how deep he can go. Additionally, San Francisco owns the second-best strikeout rate against right-handed pitching since May 1. They are one of the stingiest lineups in baseball right now and can extend at-bats. I like Brown's long-term outlook, but I'm fading his outs prop today.
Best Bet: Ben Brown Under 15.5 Outs DraftKings, -142
MLB Player Props Today: Jack Leiter Under 5.5 Strikeouts
Jack Leiter's under 5.5 strikeouts is another one of my best MLB player props today as the Texas Rangers host the Cleveland Guardians at Globe Life Field.
Leiter has been a Jekyll-and-Hyde story in 2026. His whiff rate sits in just the 64th percentile, which is slightly below league average. While a 25% strikeout rate is serviceable, it's nothing that jumps off the page. Here's the problem for Leiter today: Cleveland has been elite against right-handed pitching since May 1, posting a strikeout rate of just 18.4%.
The Guardians are disciplined, they make contact, and they grind out at-bats. That's the exact kind of lineup that eats into a pitch count in a hurry. Getting the under 5.5 against arguably the toughest lineup to punch out in baseball right now is a play I'm fully on board with.
Best Bet: Jack Leiter Under 5.5 Strikeouts DraftKings, -152

For my MLB home run picks today, we're heading to Busch Stadium in St. Louis, where the Cincinnati Reds visit the Cardinals. Nick Lodolo is on the mound for Cincinnati, and the underlying numbers are waving red flags.
Lodolo looked promising last season but has battled a blister in 2026 and simply hasn't looked right. He ranks in just the 3rd percentile in barrel rate per Baseball Savant, and he's not keeping the ball on the ground consistently — a dangerous combination when temperatures are expected to approach 88 degrees in St. Louis. That ball is going to carry.
Enter Jordan Walker, who is the definition of a post-hype sleeper fully cashing in on his potential this season. Walker has 15 home runs on the year, and his expected ISO in 2026 is north of .279 — he's been ripping the cover off the baseball.
A struggling pitcher, a locked-in hitter, and scorching summer conditions. Walker's +389 odds look like a steal to me.
Best Bet: Jordan Walker to Hit a Home Run DraftKings, +389
