Best MLB Bets Today: Player Props for June 19

Ben Brown over 15.5 outs at -110 on DraftKings Sportsbook is my top MLB bet today as the Toronto Blue Jays visit the Chicago Cubs.

Part of the reason I like this prop is the price. And although Toronto is one of the stingiest teams in baseball when it comes to avoiding strikeouts, Brown has been borderline unbelievable in 2026. He owns a 1.74 ERA, and that lines up with his 81st-percentile expected ERA according to Baseball Savant.

Additionally, he keeps the ball on the ground at a well-above-average clip, pairs a solid 25% strikeout rate with chase and whiff percentages that both sit above league average, and has shown he has many ways to get out of jams. Toronto doesn't strike out a lot, but they rank just 17th in baseball in weighted runs created plus (wRC+) against right-handed pitching this season. Give me Brown to record at least one out in the sixth inning.

MLB Player Props Today: Cam Schlittler Over 6.5 Strikeouts

Cam Schlittler over 6.5 strikeouts is another one of my favorite MLB player props today as the New York Yankees host the Cincinnati Reds in the Bronx on Friday.

Cincinnati has the third-highest strikeout rate in baseball against right-handed pitching since May 1st. They've been just as bad since the start of June with a 25.4% strikeout rate, the second-worst mark in Major League Baseball. There are a couple of reasons I like Schlittler here. He's been excellent, ranking in the 85th percentile in strikeout rate and the 91st percentile in chase percentage according to Baseball Savant.

A Reds team that strikes out a lot is now staring down a pitcher with an extremely high chase rate, which is integral to this play. On top of that, oddsmakers have juiced his over 17.5 outs prop extremely heavily, implying confidence that Schlittler goes at least six innings. Anytime Schlittler goes six innings, I like his odds of collecting seven strikeouts.

Home Run Picks Today: Ben Rice

For my MLB home run picks today, we're staying right in the Bronx with Ben Rice to go deep at +278. The Reds will send Rhett Lowder to the bump, and he's been pretty underwhelming this season. Lowder has given up just a .158 ISO to left-handed hitters, but his expected ISO against lefties is all the way up at .227 — meaning some negative regression is coming his way.

Rice, meanwhile, is a true superstar in baseball right now, sporting a .359 ISO against right-handed pitching. Temperatures are projected to be in the low 80s in the Bronx, and with the short porch to his advantage and a vulnerable pitcher on the mound who's no stranger to giving up hard contact, I like Rice a ton on Friday to go yard.
