MLB Today’s Best Bets for 07/25: Home Run Picks & Top Player Props
It’s a full 15-game slate on the diamond to as the weekend is upon us Saturday. We have afternoon baseball, starting at 1:10 pm ET when the Royals continue an AL Central set with the Tigers in the Motor City. The schedule gives plenty of opportunities to find the best MLB bets today, including the top home run props. Best MLB Bets Today: Player Props for July 25
Salvador Perez, Royals Over 1.5 Total Bases (+138, DraftKings)
The Royals have disappointed this season. Friday’s 2-1 loss to the Tigers in the opening game of this set dropped them to 43-62 and left them in the basement of the AL Central. They are 12.5 games behind the White Sox for the AL Central lead. Perez is sputtering himself at the plate, as is the rest of the Royals’ lineup. He enters Saturday with a lackluster .210 average to go with 15 doubles, 14 homers and 43 RBI on the year. With that said, Perez has a solid track record against Casey Mize in his career. He is a solid 14 of 33 (.424) with four doubles, a home run and eight RBI against the Tigers’ righthander. In addition, with Bobby Witt Jr. on the IL, the Royals need a spark. Perez is the guy to make it happen.
Bryan Woo, Mariners Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-147, FanDuel)
Woo, like the Mariners as a whole, has been streaky this season. He is 7-6 with a 4.16 ERA, a 1.09 WHIP, 22 walks and 109 strikeouts over 110.1 innings of work on the year. Woo has pitched the Rangers tough in his career, posting a 3-3 mark with a 3.88 ERA, a 1.187 WHIP and 51 strikeouts over 46.1 innings of work against them. Among current Rangers’ hitters, they have posted a cumulative .182 average with three extra base hits (two doubles, one homer) in 77 at-bats. Meanwhile, Woo has 20 strikeouts in that span, which is a 26% strikeout rate. Texas is slightly below average in terms of strikeout rate this season. Woo has success here and handcuffs the Rangers’ bats.
Hunter Greene, Reds Over 6.5 Strikeouts (+120, Fanatics)
Greene missed the first three-plus months of the season, finally making his debut on July 4. He’s made just three starts and is a mixed bag statistically. Greene is 2-1 despite a 6.06 ERA over 16.1 innings on the year and has surrendered three homers. Meanwhile, he’s racked up 26 strikeouts in that three-start span. While the Cardinals strike out at the fourth-lowest rate in the majors this season, they don’t have much success against Greene. Current St. Louis hitters have a .268 average (11 of 41) against the fireballer in his career. In addition, Greene has a 39% strikeout rate (16 whiffs) in those at-bats. With the strikeouts he’s racking up, roll with the over here.

Christian Walker, Astros (+350, DraftKings)
Walker hasn’t had the kind of season he was hoping for when the year started but still is a dangerous bat for the Astros. He enters this one hitting .233 with 20 doubles, one triple, 20 homers and 61 RBI on the year. Walker was one for five in Friday’s 9-5 win over the White Sox but had a bases-clearing double. While most Astros don’t have much experience against Chicago righthander Sean Burke, Walker has made the most of his chances. He is two of two against Burke in his career. In addition, both hits went for extra bases. He has a double, a homer and four RBI to his credit in those two at-bats. Walker rakes against Burke again here to add to his numbers.
Drake Baldwin, Braves (+309, DraftKings)
Baldwin continued his strong season coming out of the All-Star break and just keeps raking for the Braves. He has 20 homers and 56 RBI on the year, ranking fourth in the majors with an .850 OPS on the year. Baldwin is hitting .343 with five homers and 16 RBI in the month of July over 70 at-bats. Meanwhile, since the All-Star break, he’s 13 of 27 (.481) with four homers and nine RBI. That includes going deep in the Braves’ 7-6, 10-inning win over the Orioles in Charm City Friday night. With the power surge Baldwin is on right now, look for him to take another ball deep into the bleachers here.
