Yordan Alvarez, Astros Over 1.5 Total Bases (+105, Fanatics)

Alvarez was two for two with a walk as the Astros were hammered 10-1 by the Angels on the road Tuesday night. He has a .311 average with 13 doubles, 22 homers and 48 RBI on the season entering this contest. Reid Detmers gets the ball for the Angels in this one and Alvarez hits him well. In his career, Alvarez is five of 16 (.313) with three doubles to his credit. Alvarez has a .292 career average with 12 doubles, six homers and 24 RBI in 113 career at-bats at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. He cashed this prop five times in his last 10 games. Shohei Ohtani, Dodgers Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-129, DraftKings)

Ohtani is lights out on the mound this season. He is 6-2 with a 0.74 ERA, a 0.787 WHIP, 18 walks and 67 strikeouts over 61 innings in 10 starts. He has six starts where he struck out at least seven hitters and two others where he fanned six. Pittsburgh strikes out at the third-highest rate (9.27 K/9) this season. Eric Lauer recorded five punchouts in 5.2 innings Tuesday night. The bullpen tacked on seven more in the final 3.1 innings of a 12-3 Dodgers win. He fanned nine Pirates over 6.1 innings in his lone career start against them back in 2023. Bank on him getting seven or eight here.

Jose Ramirez, Guardians Over 1.5 Total Bases (+100, Fanatics)

We had Ramirez in this spot Tuesday night facing Gerrit Cole and he delivered. Ramirez was two for five with a run scored in the Guardians’ 3-2 defeat. While his numbers against Carlos Rodon aren’t as pretty as they are against Cole, he still is a decent hitter. Ramirez is hitting .250 (14 of 56) against Rodon in his career. Meanwhile, five of his 14 hits (four doubles and a triple) have gone for extra bases off Rodon. Ramirez has at least one hit in eight of his last 10 games, so the potential is there. In addition, he cashed this prop in six of his last 10 games. He does it again here.

Home Run Picks Today:

Ian Happ, Cubs (+320, Fanatics)

Happ flexed his power stroke more than we’ve seen in his career. He has 14 homers on the year, putting him on pace for a career high. Happ still strikes out too often, usually at the most inopportune times, and is hitting just .230 on the year. The thin air of Coors Field should be helpful. In addition, so should the opposing pitcher. Michael Lorenzen is on the bump and he’s struggled for the Rockies. He’s 2-5 with an 8.01 ERA and a 1.995 WHIP. In addition, he’s surrendered a league-high 99 hits, including 11 homers. Happ is three of 10 in his career against Lorenzen. Two of those three hits landed in the seats. The potential for a big night is there.

Bryce Harper, Phillies (+455, DraftKings)

Harper went one for two with a pair of walks as the Phillies fell 3-2 to Toronto Tuesday night. He has just one homer in his last 10 games but has 14 long balls on the year. Facing Max Scherzer could help Harper relocate his power stroke. After all, he’s homered three times in 24 career at-bats against Scherzer. In addition, Scherzer makes his first big league start since April 24 and he didn’t look good before hitting the IL. He was 1-3 with a 9.64 ERA and opposing hitters had a .297/.369/.608 slash line.
