MLB Today’s Best Bets for 06/01: Home Run Picks & Top Player Props

It’s a solid nine-game slate on the diamond to start the new week and the month of June Monday, starting at 6:40 pm ET when the Tigers open an early week set with the Rays down in the Sunshine State. The schedule gives plenty of opportunities to find the best MLB bets today, including the top home run props. After looking over the slate, we’ve identified our favorite plays to bolster your bankroll. Without further ado, let’s get to the best options on the board for Monday, June 1.

Best MLB Bets Today: Player Props for June 1

Freddie Freeman, Dodgers Over 1.5 Bases (+112, DraftKings)

Freeman entered Sunday with a .271 average with eight homers and 27 RBI though he’s swinging a hot bat right now. He has hits in six straight games and nine of his last 11 entering this contest. Four of his eight homers and four of his 15 doubles have come in that span. Eduardo Rodriguez is off to a strong start on the bump for the Diamondbacks but Freeman has his number. In his career, Freeman is 10 of 17 (.588) with three doubles, a home run and five RBI against the Arizona lefty. Throw in a career .378 average with 27 doubles, a triple and 19 homers at Chase Field to make things more enticing. That’s why we’re backing Freeman in this slot.

Jose Soriano, Angels Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-145, Fanatics)

Soriano is one of the big surprises in the majors this season. The AL Pitcher of the Month for April comes in 6-4 with a 2.65 ERA over 71.1 innings of work. Sure, he needs to cut down on the free passes (a league-high 31) but he has 78 punchouts to his credit. His K/9 rate jumped from 8.1 in 2025 to 9.8 this season. Facing the Rockies is a bit of a mixed bag. Current Colorado hitters have a .211 average (four of 19) against him with four strikeouts against Soriano. On the plus side, the Rockies entered Sunday with the fifth-highest strikeout rate (nine per contest) this season. That number climbs to 9.75 punchouts a night as the visiting team. Therefore, look for Soriano to rack up some whiffs here.

Sandy Alcantara, Marlins Under 3.5 Strikeouts (+126, FanDuel)

Alcantara was at his peak in 2021 and 2022, though he’s tapered off in productivity since that point in time. He’s sacrificed some of his strikeouts in exchange for distance. Alcantara saw his K/9 rate drop from 8.8 in 2021 to 6.2 this season. However, he is averaging 6.1 innings per start this season. Alcantara has only 52 punchouts in 75.1 innings of work this year. He hasn’t fanned more than seven hitters in a start this season and has more than five just once in his last nine starts. That includes three strikeouts over six innings in his last start against Washington May 10. Based on what we’ve seen from him, Alcantara likely goes six-plus innings but stays under his strikeout prop.

Home Run Picks Today:

Junior Caminero, Rays (+364, DraftKings)

Caminero is on a bit of a roll of late. He hit .293 in May with five homers and 13 RBI while drawing more free passes (19) than strikeouts (16) in that span. For the season, Caminero is hitting .278 with 13 homers and 28 RBI. He’s been even better at the Trop this year, posting a robust .301/.405/.591 slash line with seven homers and 17 RBI over 93 at-bats. In his career, he is seven of 32 (.219) in eight career games against the Tigers. While he has just seven hits against Tigers’ pitching, four have left the yard. Ty Madden is expected to come off the DL for the Tigers and start here so it could be a parade of arms. Still, Caminero has the potential to go deep here.

Julio Rodriguez, Mariners (+525, Fanatics)

Rodriguez, after a pedestrian start, has seen his power game pick up recently. Over the past week, he’s put four balls in the seats while driving in nine runs. For the year, he has 12 homers and 30 RBI while looking to continue his recent assault on the ball. Sean Manaea is supposed to be on the bump for the Mets in this one and Rodriguez has had success against him. In his career, Rodriguez is three of seven with a double, a home run and four RBI against Manaea. Look for Rodriguez to take advantage of Manaea’s issues and find a way to drive one into the seats for his eighth long ball of the year at T-Mobile Park.
