It’s a full 15-game slate on the diamond to finish off your weekend Sunday, starting at 12:15 pm ET when the Blue Jays close a weekend set with the Orioles at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The schedule gives plenty of opportunities to find the best MLB bets today, including the top home run props. After looking over the slate, we’ve identified our favorite plays to bolster your bankroll. Without further ado, let’s get to the best options on the board for Sunday, May 31.

Best MLB Bets Today: Player Props for May 31

Shane McClanahan, Rays Over 6.5 Strikeouts (+130, FanDuel)

McClanahan is still working his way up to full speed. He has 10 starts under his belt and averages five innings per start entering this one. McClanahan has gone deeper than five innings just three times and hasn’t gone beyond six frames all year. As a result, he has cashed the over on this prop just twice in his 10 starts this season. With that said, he has averaged a strikeout per inning (50 strikeouts in 50 innings) this year. Current Angels’ hitters are just three of 17 against McClanahan and he has nine strikeouts. In addition, the Angels strike out more than any other team in the league (9.59) per game. This is as good a chance as he’ll get to pump up his strikeout total.

George Springer, Blue Jays Over 1.5 Bases (+115, DraftKings)

Springer is off to a slow start, hitting just .212 with five home runs and 14 RBI over 156 at-bats on the year. However, he recorded at least one hit in seven of his last 10 games, including Saturday. Springer has gone over this prop in five of his last 10 contests. Facing Kyle Bradish may be a good way for him to maintain his recent hot stretch. In his career, Springer is eight of 19 (.421) against him. Springer rapped five doubles, a homer and three RBI against Bradish. He owns a .275 average with 12 doubles, seven homers and 16 RBI over 178 career at-bats at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Dodgers Under 6.5 Strikeouts (-154, DraftKings)

Yamamoto comes in 4-4 with a 3.09 ERA and a 0.984 WHIP in his 10 starts on the year for the Dodgers. He has 59 strikeouts over 64 innings of work on the year. However, he’s been a mixed bag when it comes to punchouts. While he has five starts where he has at least seven punchouts, he has five with six or fewer. That includes his last start, where Yamamoto had just three strikeouts on the road against the Brewers. Current Phillies hitters have 31 at-bats against him. Yamamoto has seven strikeouts to his credit in those 31 at-bats. Therefore, lean toward him ending up falling short of the mark here.

Home Run Picks Today (05/31):

Andy Pages, Dodgers (FanDuel, +410)

Pages is swinging a hot bat of late. He was hitting .400 (10 of 25) with four doubles, three homers and eight RBI over the last week entering Saturday night. For the season, he has a .290 average with 12 doubles, 13 homers and 50 RBI in 57 games. Pages hasn’t faced Andrew Painter as a big league hitter. Painter has struggled this year, going 1-5 with a 5.40 ERA and a 1.46 WHIP on the year. He’s given up seven homers in 50 innings. Right-handed hitters have hit five of those in 78 at-bats. Seeing that Pages is a right-handed hitter with pop in his bat, he can take Painter deep in this one.

Colson Montgomery, White Sox (+360, Fanatics)

Montgomery may miss the presence of Munetaka Murakami, who launched 20 homers before hitting the DL this week with a hamstring injury. With that said, he has pop in his bat, with 11 doubles, 14 homers and 35 RBI this season despite a .233 average. Montgomery homered Saturday and has 17 homers in 255 career at-bats at Guaranteed Rate Field. He’s faced Keider Montero just once in his career. Montgomery took him deep in that at-bat. Sunday could bring more of the same.
