Best MLB Pitcher Strikeout Bets Today: Player Props for September 12

Tyler Glasnow, Dodgers Over 7.5 Strikeouts (+120, HardRock)

Glasnow missed a big chunk of the season with injury so this marks just his 11th start of the year for the Dodgers. He is 4-0 with a 3.12 ERA, a 0.884 WHIP, 17 walks and 70 strikeouts over 57.2 innings of work. Glasnow has at least seven punchouts in seven of his 10 starts this season entering this contest.

Meanwhile, current Marlins hitters have three hits in 16 at-bats against him. In addition, Glasnow recorded eight punchouts, or exactly half of the at-bats in that sample size. Look for him to go over the number here.

Bryan Woo, Mariners Over 5.5 Strikeouts (+100, Fanatics)

Woo, like the Mariners as a whole, has been streaky this season. He is 11-9 with a 4.25 ERA, a 1.055 WHIP, 24 walks and 158 strikeouts over 156.1 innings of work on the year. Woo has pitched the Athletics tough in his career, posting a 8-1 mark with a 1.95 ERA, a 0.866 WHIP and 67 strikeouts over 64.2 innings of work against them. Among current Athletics’ hitters, they have posted a cumulative .157 average with three extra base hits (one double, two homers) in 89 at-bats.

Meanwhile, Woo has 29 strikeouts in that span, which is a 32.6% strikeout rate. In addition, the Athletics are slightly below average in terms of strikeout rate this season. He threw eight shutout frames, allowing one hit with nine strikeouts in his last start against the Athletics. Woo has success here and handcuffs the Athletics’ bats.

Best MLB Pitcher Prop Picks Today (09/12):

Michael King, Padres Over 17.5 Outs (-185, Fanatics)

King had the misfortune of the Padres’ offense misfiring for much of the first half of the season. As a result, his numbers were impacted. He enters this start 10-9 despite a 3.00 ERA, a 1.167 WHIP and 144 strikeouts over 168 innings of work. King tossed at least six innings in 20 of his 29 starts this year entering this contest.

Oracle Park has favored pitchers heavily this season. Meanwhile, facing the Giants is in King’s favor as well. San Francisco is just 24th in the majors by averaging 4.20 runs per game this season. That means King should go deep in this outing.

Tyler Mahle, Braves Over 15.5 Outs Recorded (-138, DraftKings)

It’s been a rough year for Mahle, who started the season with the Giants before being dealt to Atlanta at the trade deadline. He is 5-10 with a 4.05 ERA, a 1.267 WHIP and 124 strikeouts over 131 innings of work on the year. However, since coming to Atlanta, he is 2-1 with a 1.24 ERA, six walks and 35 strikeouts over 36.1 innings of work in six starts.

Mahle went at least six innings in seven of his last nine starts entering this contest. Meanwhile, one of the other two starts saw him go 5.2 frames. That includes a six-inning stint against this same Phillies squad in his previous start. He continues his late-season turnaround with another solid outing.
