Best MLB Pitcher Strikeout Bets Today: Player Props for Sept. 10
Logan Gilbert, Mariners Over 6.5 Strikeouts (+100, FanDuel)
Giibert had a slow start to the year but improved as the season wore on. He is 11-9 with a 3.71 ERA, a 1.067 WHIP, 42 walks and 176 strikeouts over 165 innings of work. Gilbert has 19 whiffs over 14.2 innings in his last three starts. Current Rangers hitters have a .255 average (40 of 157) against Gilbert in his career.
Meanwhile, he recorded 44 strikeouts (28%) of the hitters that faced him. Gilbert has at least seven punchouts in 12 of his 28 starts and six in five others. Look for him to take advantage of the Rangers’ bats here to go over the number.
Jared Jones, Pirates Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-132, DraftKings)
It’s been a tough season for Jones, who comes in 3-6 with a 4.46 ERA and a 1.233 WHIP over 78.2 innings in 17 starts on the year. However, he still records strikeouts at a solid rate, logging 92 punchouts on the season. In this contest, he gets to face a White Sox squad that strikes out at the sixth-highest rate in the majors with 9.12 strikeouts per game.
In addition, the White Sox don’t have much familiarity with Jones. Only two hitters have ever faced him for a total of four at-bats. All four of those ended in punchouts. With the Pale Hose being prone to striking out, look for Jones to pick up some whiffs and go over the prop.

Jacob deGrom, Rangers Over 16.5 Outs (-110, Fanatics)
After a five-year stretch where he didn’t throw more than 92 innings in a season, deGrom stayed healthy the last two years. He made 30 starts last season and 27 so far this year, posting a 10-9 mark with a 3.96 ERA and a 1.116 WHIP over 143.1 innings. In addition, he has 174 strikeouts against 38 walks in those outings.
For this contest, deGrom gets a crack at a Mariners squad that ranks dead last in the majors with 3.96 runs per game. Meanwhile, they’re even worse at home, averaging 3.82 runs a contest. That means deGrom should work deep into the contest.
Nick Martinez, Rays Over 17.5 Outs Recorded (-120, DraftKings)
Martinez put together a terrific season while flying under the radar for the Rays this season. He is 14-4 with a 3.04 ERA, a 1.10 WHIP, 24 walks and 95 strikeouts over 160 innings in 27 starts this season. Martinez gets to pitch here at Truist Park, which has proven to be a fairly neutral ballpark over the last several seasons. Facing the Braves, who are 9th in the majors with 4.59 runs per game, doesn’t necessarily work in his favor.
However, he held current Atlanta hitters to a .222 average over 81 at-bats against him. In addition, Martinez tossed at least six innings in 16 of his starts this season. That includes five where he worked at least seven frames. Look for him to keep the Rangers in check in this contest.
