MLB Parlay Picks Today: Best Playoff Bets for Oct. 7

We’ve reached the division series of the MLB postseason and with it comes our top MLB parlay picks today for Wednesday, October 7.
The MLB regular season is in the rearview mirror and for that matter, so is the wild card round. In the American League, the New York Yankees and Cleveland Guardians try to avoid being swept at the hands of the Tampa Bay Rays and Chicago White Sox, respectively. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Dodgers attempt to close out the Atlanta Braves in Game 4.
Let’s take a look at a couple of our favorite parlays and a couple other props that we’re considering as well.
Top MLB Parlay Picks for Wednesday, October 7
Top MLB Player Pick #1
- Tyler Glasnow, Dodgers Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-111, DraftKings)
- Freddie Freeman, Dodgers Over 1.5 Total Bases (+144, DraftKings)
- Payout: $463.82 on a $100 bet ($363.82 profit)
We’ll start with the NL Division Series matchup between division winners in Hotlanta as the Los Angeles Dodgers take on the Atlanta Braves in Game 4. We grabbed the odds for this particular play at DraftKings.
Tyler Glasnow gets the start for the Dodgers in this contest. He finished the regular season 5-2 with a 3.53 ERA, a 0.95 WHIP, 25 walks and 98 strikeouts over 74 innings in 13 starts. In addition, he was solid in the postseason for the Dodgers last year. He finished with no record, one save, a 1.69 ERA, a 1.219 WHIP, 11 walks and 25 strikeouts over 21.1 innings in six appearances, three starts.
In addition, Glasnow has pitched well against Atlanta in his career. He is 2-1 with a 2.48 ERA, a 1.041 WHIP, nine walks and 46 strikeouts over 32.2 innings in six career starts against them. Glasnow has limited current Atlanta hitters to a .182 average (18-for-99) while recording 36 strikeouts (36.4%) in those at-bats. The Braves fanned 31 times in the first three games of this series.
On the second leg of this parlay, we’re backing Freddie Freeman to go over his total bases prop. Freeman finished the year hitting .288 with 32 doubles, one triple, 16 homers and 70 RBIs on the year. Meanwhile, in the first three games of this series, he is 4-for-10 (.400) with a pair of solo homers.
Freeman gets to return to a park he has familiarity with, having spent the first dozen years of his career with Atlanta. He owns a career .302 average with 71 doubles, three triples, 73 homers and 244 RBI in 340 career games at Truist Park. Meanwhile, against Mahle, he is eight-for-19 (.421) with one double, one homer and six RBI. Seeing how he has started in the series, look for him to cash in here.

Ben Rice, Yankees Over 1.5 Total Bases (+110, Hard Rock)
Max Fried, Yankees Over 15.5 Outs Recorded (+145, Rock)Payout: $514.50 on a $100 bet ($414.50 profit)
For our second parlay, we’ll shift to the Bronx as the Tampa Bay Rays try to sweep aside the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium. The odds for this one come to you courtesy of Hard Rock.
Ben Rice carried the Yankees offensively this season. After all, Aaron Judge played in just 66 games in the regular season. Meanwhile, Giancarlo Stanton was in uniform for only 24 games, taking two anchors of the lineup out of the mix for a large chunk of the year.
Enter Rice, who played in 154 games in the regular sesaon. He hit .264 with 24 doubles, four triples, 41 homers and 97 RBI on the year. Rice hit Tampa Bay solidly in the regular season, going 16-for-45 (.356) with three doubles, seven homers and 12 RBIs. He’s 7-for-15 in the playoffs with four homers and eight RBIs. In his career, he’s four-for-nine with three doubles against Nick Martinez.
We’re rolling with Fried here as the other leg of this parlay. The Yankees have their backs to the wall and can’t hope that their bullpen can bail them out for length. Fried went six frames against Boston in his lone playoff start. In two regular season starts against Tampa Bay, he tossed a combined 14.2 innings. Take him to get into the sixth here.
Other MLB Player Props for Wednesday, October 7
Nick Martinez, Rays Over 11.5 Outs Recorded BetMGM, -125
We’ll stick with the Rays and Yankees at Yankee Stadium here as there are some favorable numbers available for this game.
Nick Martinez put together a terrific season for the Rays this season. He went 15-6 with a 3.10 ERA, a 1.094 WHIP, 26 walks and 109 strikeouts over 180 innings in 31 starts this season. Martinez faces a Yankees lineup that was solid in the regular season. The Yankees were 8th in runs per game (4.60) this season and remained 8th (4.87) at home. However, they’ve been silenced in the first two games of this series.
Meanwhile, Martinez limited current Athletics hitters to a .180 average over 50 at-bats against him. In addition, Martinez tossed at least six innings in 18 of his starts this season. That includes five where he worked at least seven frames. He threw 16.2 innings in three starts against the Yankees with a 2.16 ERA. We only need four frames from him here.
Junior Caminero, Rays Over 1.5 Total Bases Fanatics, +135
To finish things off, we’ll look again at the matchup between the Rays and Yankees at Yankee Stadium.
Junior Caminero was a key contributor for the Rays in the regular season. He hit .276 with 25 doubles, a triple, 42 homers and 101 RBIs on the year. In the first two games of this series, he’s two of six with a double and a pair of walks.
While we like Fried to go fairly deep in this game, Caminero hit lefties well this season. He posted a .287/.426/.490 slash line over 157 at-bats. In addition, he went deep eight times with 16 of his 45 knocks (eight doubles, eight homers) going for extra bases. We’re getting a favorable price here so we’ll back Caminero to deliver.
