MLB Parlay Picks Today: Best Playoff Bets for Oct. 3

We’ve reached the division series of the MLB postseason and with it comes our top MLB parlay picks today for Saturday, October 3.
The MLB regular season is in the rearview mirror and for that matter, so is the wild card round. Three of the four wild card round series ended in two-game sweeps. Only the Philadelphia Phillies and Atlanta Braves needed a decisive Game 3, which Atlanta took 6-2 Thursday to advance. The divisional series are best-of-five situations and all four series get underway Saturday.
Let’s take a look at a couple of our favorite parlays and a couple other props that we’re considering as well.
Top MLB Parlay Picks for Saturday, October 3
Top MLB Parlay Pick #1
Parker Messick, Guardians Over 6.5 Strikeouts (+100, Fanatics)Parker Messick, Guardians Over 16.5 Outs Recorded (-135, Fanatics)
Payout: $348.15 on a $100 bet ($248.15 profit)
We’ll start with the AL Division Series matchup between AL Central foes as the Chicago White Sox open up their set with the Cleveland Guardians. Our first parlay comes with odds that were found at Fanatics Sportsbook.
Parker Messick is a solid candidate for AL Rookie of the Year with his performance this season. Paired with Gavin Williams, the Guardians have a solid 1-2 punch at the front of their rotation.
Messick finished the season 12-9 with a 2.56 ERA, a 1.063 WHIP, 49 walks and 193 strikeouts over 186.1 innings in 32 starts. In addition, he was sixth in the league in ERA, ninth in WHIP and tied for 15th in strikeouts this season.
Messick made four starts against the White Sox this season, going 2-1 with a 2.81 ERA, five walks and 29 strikeouts over 25.2 innings of work. He went at least six innings and fanned at least eight hitters in three of those four starts against Chicago. Messick, in his 32 regular season starts, went at least six innings 15 times this year. In addition, he fanned at least seven hitters 10 times while he finished eight other starts with six punchouts.
Chicago finished the regular season 26th in the majors with 9.22 strikeouts per game. They followed that up with 21 strikeouts in 70 official at-bats (30%) in their two-game sweep of the Astros. Messick gets to seven Ks here to help cash things.

Tarik Skubal, Dodgers Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-125, Hard Rock)
Ozzie Albies, Braves Over 1.5 Total Bases (+160, Hard Rock)Payout: $468 on a $100 bet ($368 profit)
For our second parlay, we’ll shift to the City of Angels as the Atlanta Braves take on the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1. The odds for this one come to you courtesy of Hard Rock.
Tarik Skubal gets the ball for the Dodgers in the opener of this series. He finished the year 12-7 with a 2.72 ERA, a 0.964 WHIP, 27 walks and 186 strikeouts over 158.2 innings in 26 starts. Skubal was 5-2 with a 2.61 ERA, a 1.048 WHIP, 13 walks and 70 strikeouts over 62 innings in 10 starts with Los Angeles after being acquired at the trade deadline.
He recorded at least seven strikeouts in 15 of his 26 starts during the year. Meanwhile, he had at least seven punchouts in five of his 10 starts with the Dodgers. He had six strikeouts in three of his other five starts with Los Angeles. In 52 at-bats by current Atlanta hitters, they have more strikeouts (15) than hits (14) against Skubal.
If there is someone that can potentially do some damage to the Dodgers’ righthander is Ozzie Albies. In his career, Albies is three-for-five against Skubal. In addition, he has a homer and three RBI in those limited at-bats. He’s a key bat in the Atlanta lineup.
Other MLB Player Props for Saturday, October 3
Jacob Misiorowski, Brewers Over 7.5 Strikeouts BetMGM, -140
We’ll start in Cream City, where the San Diego Padres make the trip to kick off the NL Division Series as they tangle with the Milwaukee Brewers.
Milwaukee sends their ace in Jacob Misiorowski to the hill in the opener here. Where Misiorowski goes, strikeouts inevitably follow as he chases a NL Cy Young. Of course, when you can throw 105, it makes it rather difficult to get the bat on the ball.
For the season, Misiorowski was 16-5 with a 1.80 ERA, a 0.802 WHIP, 44 walks and 252 strikeouts over 174.2 innings in 30 starts. In addition, Misiorowski led the majors in ERA, strikeouts), WHIP), hits allowed per nine innings (4.9) and strikeouts per nine innings (13) on the year. He was lights out at home, posting an 8-1 mark with a 1.52 ERA and 145 strikeouts over 95 innings in 16 starts this year.
Meanwhile, he allowed a measly 52 hits. Opposing hitters had a dismal .158/.236/.258 slash line against him at American Family Field. Misiorowski had a staggering 43.9% strikeout rate at home this season. Look for him to pile up some K’s in this one.
Ben Rice, Yankees Under 1.5 Total Bases DraftKings, -149
To finish things off, we’ll look at an AL Division Series matchup between AL East rivals as the New York Yankees travel to take on the Tampa Bay Rays.
Ben Rice carried the Yankees offensively this season. After all, Aaron Judge played in just 66 games in the regular season. Meanwhile, Giancarlo Stanton was in uniform for only 24 games, taking two anchors of the lineup out of the mix for a large chunk of the year.
Enter Rice, who played in 154 games in the regular sesaon. He hit .264 with 24 doubles, four triples, 41 homers and 97 RBI on the year. One may take a look at how he raked in the AL wild card series against Boston and think that continues. After all, he went five-for-nine with a double, two homers and six RBI in the two games.
Rice hit Tampa Bay solidly in the regular season, going 16-for-45 (.356) with three doubles, seven homers and 12 RBI. However, he’s been stifled by Drew Rasmussen, the Rays’ Game 1 starter. In his career, Rice is just one-for-16 (.063) against Rasmussen. While the one hit he has left the park, he also has struck out seven times. I’m leaning toward him staying under the prop here.
