MLB Home Run Props and Predictions Today: Top Player Props for Sept. 5

Wilyer Abreu, Red Sox Over 1.5 Total Bases (+125, DraftKings)
Abreu turned in a solid season so far in 2026 for the Red Sox, who are in the thick of the AL playoff picture. He entered Friday’s action with a .258 average on the year. In addition, he has 34 doubles, four triples, 23 homers and 70 RBI on the season. He’s been hot of late, going 11 of 32 over the last week with six doubles and a homer in that span. Meanwhile, he cashed this prop in six of his last 10 contests. Abreu hits Chris Bassitt, the projected starter for Baltimore, extremely well. He is eight-for-16 (.500) with two doubles, two homers and nine RBI against Bassitt. Look for him to continue swinging a hot bat in this contest.
Alec Bohm, Phillies Over 1.5 Total Bases (+128, DraftKings)
Bohm continues to be productive for the Phillies down in the order this season. Despite hitting .246 on the year, he has solid numbers across the board. Bohm entered Friday night with 23 doubles, one triple, 14 homers and an impressive 77 RBI on the season. The RBI total puts him tied for 31st in the majors. Philadelphia continues chasing down Atlanta in the NL East. Bohm posts good numbers against Martin Perez, the projected starter for Atlanta in this contest. In his career, he is eight-for-20 (.400) with a homer and five RBI. Meanwhile, he cashed in four of his last 10 games. He needs to step up here to help the Phillies.
Amed Rosario, Yankees Over 1.5 Total Bases (+170, Hard Rock)
Rosario is a part-time player for the Yankees but they may need him for the stretch run with the injury issues they have. He went into Friday’s action hitting .238 with six doubles, one triple, 10 homers and 31 RBI over 206 at-bats on the year. Rosario is on a roll lately, however, going seven-for-19 (.368) over the last week. The current active Yankee hitters struggle against Robbie Ray, posting a collective .200 average in 80 at-bats. Meanwhile, Rosario is six-for-17 (.353) with four doubles against Ray. Take him out of the equation and the rest of the Yankees are a combined 10-for-63 (.159) against him. Rosario needs in the lineup to contribute here.

Jackson Chourio, Brewers (+375, Hard Rock)
Chourio is the catalyst at the top of the order for the Brewers this season. He entered Friday night hitting .285 with 24 doubles, 21 homers, 58 RBI and 15 stolen bases on the year. The weather projects to be favorable for this contest with first-pitch temperature in the low-80s with light winds. Chourio faces Andrew Abbott, who served up 21 gopher balls over 148.1 innings of work on the year. Pitching at the Great American Ball Park, he is 3-5 with a 4.78 ERA this season. Chourio is three-for-eight (.375) in his career against Abbott entering this one. In addition, he homered twice in those at-bats. He’s live in this contest to find the seats.
Hunter Goodman, Rockies (+300, FanDuel)
The Rockies haven’t been great this season but Goodman has found his power stroke. After clubbing 31 homers in 144 games last season for Colorado, he’s turned the power up in 2026. Goodman entered Friday hitting .252 but has 36 homers in 449 at-bats on the year. Meanwhile, that puts him on pace for what would be a career-high 42 bombs this season. While he’s been surprisingly better on the road (.269 average, 21 HR) than at Coors Field (.232 average, 15 HR in 207 at-bats) this season, he’s primed for a breakout at Coors. Game-time temperatures are in the low 90s, which helps the ball carry. Goodman is two-for-five in his career against the Cardinals’ Matthew Liberatore with a homer to his credit. Meanwhile, Liberatore has coughed up 25 long balls in 134.2 innings this season. Back him here as he keeps the power surge going.
