MLB Home Run Props and Predictions Today: Top Player Props for Sept. 24
You’ve found my favorite MLB home run props and player props for Thursday, Sept. 24! The NFL is back, but we still have some fantastic baseball to enjoy.
Today’s MLB home run props target a pair of vulnerable starters, while my top pitching prop fades one of the league's best arms. I’m using DraftKings Sportsbook odds for these home run predictions and player props. Let’s dive into the picks!
Best MLB Home Run Props Today (Sept. 24)
Spencer Jones gets a favorable lefty-lefty matchup at Yankee Stadium, while Matt Olson draws one of the league’s most vulnerable right-handed starters in Atlanta. Cam Schlittler has been outstanding, but Tampa Bay makes strikeout props difficult.

Home Run Prediction #1: Spencer Jones, +359
Spencer Jones is the first home run prop I’m interested in Thursday.
The Yankees host the Rays at 7:05 p.m. ET, and Tampa Bay left-hander Ian Seymour is set to take the mound. Seymour has been a serviceable pitcher this season, but he's had real issues limiting left-handed power.
Seymour has allowed a .271 ISO to left-handed hitters. That is a dangerous number against Jones, who has begun to find a groove after a choppy start to his Major League career.
Jones has hit 11 home runs this season with a respectable .435 slugging percentage. The strikeouts are still a big part of his game, and that will remain the biggest thing separating him from a more complete hitter. But the power foundation is legitimate.
If Jones qualified, he would sit near the top of the league in barrel rate, average exit velocity, hard-hit rate, and bat speed. That is an excellent collection of traits for a hitter still learning how to manage Major League pitching.
He's also crushed lefties in a small sample. Across 49 at-bats against southpaws, Jones owns a .408 batting average and .714 slugging percentage, adding four doubles and three homers.
This is not a blind lefty-vs-lefty bet. Jones has the raw power to take on Seymour’s weakness, and Yankee Stadium never hurts when backing a left-handed hitter to go deep.

Matt Olson is in a premium spot against Brady Singer on Thursday night.
The Reds visit the Braves at Truist Park, with first pitch set for 7:15 p.m. ET. Singer has struggled throughout the 2026 season and enters the matchup with a 6-15 record and a 5.67 ERA.
The matchup gets considerably worse when Singer faces left-handed hitters.
Twenty-three of Singer’s 31 home runs allowed have come against lefties, who have posted a .528 slugging percentage against him this year. That is a terrifying profile against Olson, one of the sport’s most dangerous left-handed power hitters.
Singer also ranks in just the fourth percentile in expected ERA and fifth percentile in expected batting average, according to Baseball Savant. His 10% barrel rate allowed and 13th-percentile hard-hit rate paint the picture of a pitcher who is giving up too much loud contact.
Cooler late-September weather can make home run betting a little more difficult, but Olson is not a random dart throw. He gets the platoon advantage against a starter who has been battered by lefties all year. Olson is smashing the ball this year, and he's been Atlanta's best bat.

MLB Pitching Prop Today: Cam Schlittler Under 6.5 Strikeouts, -127
Cam Schlittler has been phenomenal for the Yankees this season. That makes this under more about matchup and workload context than an argument against his talent.
Schlittler owns a 1.94 ERA, 0.91 WHIP, and 234 strikeouts in 2026. He has been one of the American League’s best starters, and he has already shown he can dominate any team in the league.
But the Rays are a difficult team to target for strikeout overs.
Tampa Bay has recorded the fewest strikeouts per game in baseball this season. The Rays also own the second-lowest strikeout rate against right-handed pitching, at 18.9%. They make pitchers work, extend at-bats, and can run up a pitch count without needing to create much damage.
That's a problem for a 6.5-strikeout line for anyone.
The Yankees are essentially locked into their postseason position, which could reduce the incentive to push Schlittler deep into a high-stress outing. He can pitch well, get outs efficiently, and still finish with six strikeouts if Tampa Bay’s contact approach forces an earlier exit.
I don't want to overthink a dominant starter, but the number is simply demanding against this particular opponent.
