MLB Home Run Props and Predictions Today: Top Player Props for Sept. 21

You've found my favorite MLB home run props for Sept. 21! We only have three games to pick from on Monday, so I'm playing lighter than usual. I found two sluggers in solid spots, so let's dive into my top home run predictions for today!

I'm backing a pair of lefties on this small Monday slate. Riley Greene and Kody Clemens both have my attention, and here's why.

Home Run Prediction #1: Riley Greene

DJ Herz is expected to take the ball for Washington after spending this season working through a little more than 25 innings across multiple minor league levels. The numbers were solid down there, but that is a very different assignment than returning to a Major League mound and facing a Tigers lineup with legitimate left-handed thunder in the middle.

Herz logged nearly 90 innings for the Nationals in 2024 and finished with a 4.16 ERA. He could miss bats, but Herz didn't keep the ball on the ground, which matters for a home run prop.

Greene has been ridiculous in September. He is slugging nearly .700 for the month, with five home runs, five doubles, and 21 RBIs.

Greene may not finish the season with the eye-popping home run total some bettors want from a premium power bat, but the upside is obvious. His underlying metrics suggest a hitter capable of taking another jump next season, and he has looked every bit like that player during this late-season stretch.

I'll buy Greene stock early next spring, and I'll happily close out 2026 doing the same.

Home Run Prediction #2: Kody Clemens

There's nothing I love about backing home run props at Oracle Park, especially at a night game. However, we have slim pickings on Monday's MLB slate, and I'm rolling with Clemens to go deep off SFG starter Blake Tidwell.

Tidwell has been exceptionally good against right-handed pitchers across his 53.1 innings pitched in 2026. But he's been touched up from a power perspective by left-handed power. Tidwell has allowed a .206 ISO to left-handed bats this season, which is perfect for Clemens to cut through this Bay Area air on Monday.

Clemens continues to mash the baseball this season, with a .248 ISO vs. right-handed pitching. Honestly, getting a platoon split like this on a slate with just three games is more than good enough for me.
