Let's start the new week with some MLB home run props! Monday’s baseball slate has a pair of left-handed hitters in strong matchups against vulnerable right-handed pitchers, plus a strikeout prop worth targeting late on the West Coast. Let's dive into my favorite home run props and player props for Sept. 14!

MLB Home Run Props Today For Sept. 14

We’ll start at Target Field, where the Twins host the Yankees at 7:40 p.m. ET. Ben Rice to hit a home run on DraftKings Sportsbook is my favorite MLB home run prop on Monday.

Dean Kremer gets the ball for Minnesota, and he has had a miserable 2026 season. According to Baseball Savant, the right-hander ranks in just the 13th percentile in ground-ball rate allowed and the 20th percentile in barrel rate allowed.

Kremer has also struggled badly against left-handed hitters. They are slugging .518 against him this season, while he has allowed a .262 ISO to lefties. Rice is exactly the type of hitter who can make that weakness hurt.

At this point of the season, we do not need much convincing to back Rice in a plus matchup. He owns a .294 ISO against right-handed pitching, and he has absolutely crushed right-handed fastballs for a .543 ISO. Kremer gives him a matchup worth attacking, especially if he is forced to challenge Rice in the zone, since he throws heaters to lefties about a third of the time.

This is well above an average spot for Rice to go deep. At +315, anything better than 3/1 is a number I am comfortable playing.

Best Bet: Ben Rice To Hit A Home Run DraftKings, +315

MLB Home Run Predictions: Jackson Merrill

Next, the Padres head to Coors Field to face the Rockies at 8:40 p.m. ET. Jackson Merrill to hit a home run on DraftKings is another MLB home run prop I’m targeting Monday.

Tomoyuki Sugano starts for Colorado, and this is another matchup I want to attack with left-handed power. Sugano owns a 5.30 ERA, does not keep the ball on the ground, and has allowed an absurd .301 ISO to left-handed hitters this season.

It is still warm in Denver, and Sugano’s struggles against lefties create one of the better power spots on the slate. A .301 ISO allowed to one side of the plate is extreme, especially this deep into the season. I'm not sure I've seen a number that high in recent years across a long sample size. Additionally, Merrill gets the platoon advantage in the best hitting environment in baseball.

Merrill has an ISO north of .200 against right-handed pitching and has enjoyed a strong season overall. He ranks in at least the 84th percentile in average exit velocity, expected slugging percentage, hard-hit rate, and barrel rate. Twenty of his 25 home runs have come against right-handed pitching.

The matchup should stay favorable after Sugano exits, too. Colorado’s bullpen is another reason Merrill remains in a good spot throughout the game. At +301, I’m happy to back his power in Denver.

Best Bet: Jackson Merrill To Hit A Home Run DraftKings, +301

MLB Player Prop Today: Reid Detmers

For my pitching prop, I’m backing Reid Detmers over 6.5 strikeouts at -134 on DraftKings when the Angels host the Mariners at 9:30 p.m. ET.

Seattle has posted the eighth-highest strikeout rate against left-handed pitching since the beginning of August. That's a good matchup for Detmers, who is enjoying an excellent 2026 season.

Detmers owns a 28% strikeout rate with well-above-average chase and whiff rates. He has also posted a 3.32 ERA with a 3.19 expected ERA across 160 innings, so the underlying numbers support his production.

Seattle’s tendency to strike out against lefties gives Detmers a clear path to seven punchouts. I like him to get the job done in this matchup.

Best Bet: Reid Detmers Over 6.5 Strikeouts DraftKings, -134
