Thursday night brings another NFL game, but there are still MLB home run props worth attacking. The baseball slate is tight with only five games, so I’m focusing on one pitcher to target in the Bronx and a nicely-priced strikeout prop in Seattle. Let’s get into my best MLB home run props and player props for Thursday, Sept. 10!

MLB Home Run Props Today for Sept. 10

We’ll start in the Bronx, where the New York Yankees host the Colorado Rockies at 7:05 p.m. ET. Ben Rice to hit a home run on DraftKings Sportsbook is my favorite MLB home run prop today.

Colorado right-hander Ryan Feltner gets the ball, and he has been just as vulnerable away from Coors Field as he has been at altitude. Feltner owns a 5.36 ERA on the road this season, so his home environment isn't an excuse for his issues.

Feltner strikes out fewer than 17% of hitters and ranks in just the 11th percentile in barrel rate allowed. He does a decent job of keeping the ball on the ground, but the rest of the profile is troubling. Hitters from both sides of the plate are slugging north of .500 against him, and he has allowed an ISO above .200 to both lefties and righties.

That is a perfect setup for Rice. The Yankees lefty owns an ISO near .300 against right-handed pitching this season and has emerged as a legitimate middle-of-the-order power threat. Rice handles the fastball, changeup, and slider well, which matters against a pitcher such as Feltner who relies heavily on that mix when facing left-handed hitters.

MLB Home Run Predictions: Luis Garcia Jr.

I’m going right back to the Yankees lineup for my second home run prop. Luis Garcia Jr. to hit a home run on DraftKings is another MLB home run prop I’m backing Thursday.

Garcia is having a career season. The 26-year-old already has 29 home runs, and the advanced metrics suggest this is much more than a short-term breakout. According to Baseball Savant, he ranks in the 90th percentile or better in expected batting average and expected slugging percentage, while sitting in the 87th percentile in average exit velocity.

He is hitting the ball extremely hard, owns a double-digit barrel rate, and has well-above-average bat speed. Maybe the Yankees may have found a long-term impact bat rather than a flash in the pan.

Garcia has hit 26 of his 29 home runs against right-handed pitching and owns a .586 slugging percentage in that split.

The weather should also help. Temperatures are expected to push 88 degrees in the Bronx, creating a nice hitting environment. There could be some rain around the game, so monitor the forecast, but the warmth is a positive for the ball carrying.

MLB Strikeout Props Today: Logan Gilbert

I’m also taking Logan Gilbert over 6.5 strikeouts against the Rangers.

Gilbert has been strong this season, striking out a tick over 30% of left-handed hitters. His strikeout rate against righties is lower, around 21%, but his projected matchup gives him a favorable path to clearing this number.

Texas is projected to start five left-handed hitters Thursday, which plays directly into Gilbert’s strongest strikeout split. Since Aug. 1, the Rangers have posted the ninth-highest strikeout rate in baseball against right-handed pitching.
