MLB Home Run Props and Predictions for Aug. 31: Great Value on D-Backs Carroll
While not every team is in action on Monday, there are still quite a few games on the last day of August.
We break down some value MLB home run props and predictions for two series openers and one finale.

MLB Home Run Props for Today, Aug. 31
First, we head to the desert where the Arizona Diamondbacks host the Philadelphia Phillies.

Corbin Carroll, +547
We like Arizona’s Corbin Caroll to go yard even though he's been slumping a little of late. He did have a home run in the last series, has four this month, and ranks second on the D-Backs with 19 long balls.
The matchup for him is a good one, as he is a lefty and will be facing Philly righty Aaron Nola. Nola has given up the second-most home runs in the Majors and six in five starts this month. He has an ERA north of 5.00 and has struggled to keep balls in the park.
The last time Nola didn't allow a home run was in a start at the beginning of July.

Next, we go to Coors Field, where balls fly out of the park often, and the Colorado Rockies open an interleague series hosting the Baltimore Orioles.
Pete Alonso leads the Orioles in home runs but left yesterday’s game with a minor injury and is listed as day-to-day. Gunnar Henderson ranks second on the club with 22 home runs, and he had two in the last game. He has four home runs this month and will be facing Colorado right-handed starter Tanner Gordon, who has a less-than-stellar ERA of 5.38.
In 83 2/3 innings pitched this season, Gordon has given up 17 home runs. He has also not fared well at Coors Field, serving up eight homers in his last four home starts. On top of that, the Rockies have the fifth-worst bullpen ERA, and that unit has served up 67 home runs this season.
Henderson swung a hot bat yesterday with two home runs, and we like him to go yard again in this series opener at homer-friendly Coors Field.

Daylen Lyle, +501
Lastly, we head to the Nation’s Capital, where the Washington Nationals end a four-game set with the Miami Marlins at Nationals Park — which has seen the most home runs this season.
Daylen Lyle has 18 home runs and has good value to hit a dinger. While ranking third on the team in long balls, leader James Wood is out with an injury, and CJ Abrams is in a big slump.
Lyle has five home runs this month and is hitting the ball hard as of late, with 11 hits in the last seven games.
This is another lefty-righty matchup with the left-handed Lyle facing right-handed Miami starter Ryan Gusto.
While Gusto has not given up a home run at Nationals Park this season, he has only worked five innings over two appearances and has given up four home runs in five starts this month.
Look for Lyle to end August with his fifth home run.
