Best Same Game Parlay for Aug. 16

The Cardinals and Cubs close out their weekend series at Wrigley Field, and Chicago’s offense gives us several angles to work with in one ticket. This parlay leans into a Cubs win while also asking two of their most dangerous hitters to contribute.

Cubs Moneyline, Seiya Suzuki to Record a Hit, Pete Crow-Armstrong to Hit a Home Run

This is clearly the aggressive swing of the three parlays, but each leg fits the same basic game script. Chicago is the stronger team overall and gets this game at Wrigley, so the Cubs moneyline provides the foundation.

Seiya Suzuki only needs one hit to clear his leg, which is a reasonable target for one of the more reliable bats in Chicago’s lineup. He also homered against St. Louis earlier in this series, giving him some recent production against this opponent.

Pete Crow-Armstrong is where the payout jumps. He has been one of Chicago’s biggest power threats this season, but he has cooled off recently, making the home run leg much more volatile. Still, one big swing from Crow-Armstrong is enough to put this ticket in position for a huge return.

This parlay is built around three players producing in the hit column. Crow-Armstrong needs one hit for the Cubs, while Steven Kwan also needs just one against San Diego.

Kwan is a strong fit for this type of bet because contact is a major part of his game. He entered Sunday batting .268 and collected an RBI double Saturday, so asking for one hit is a modest barrier.

Luis Arraez is the toughest leg because his line is set at over one hit, meaning he needs a multi-hit performance for a full win. He is now with Philadelphia after being traded from San Francisco earlier this month, and elite contact has always been the defining part of his offensive profile. Facing a Minnesota starter with an ERA above 5.00 gives him a reasonable opportunity to do damage.

Yankees, Astros and Rangers Moneyline Parlay

The final ticket keeps things simple with three outright winners. New York is an underdog in Toronto, but the Yankees have the better record and get Dylan Cease on the mound, giving them a strong pitching angle despite the plus-money price.

Houston is at home against Seattle with Hunter Brown starting, while Texas draws an Athletics team that has struggled throughout the season. The Rangers also face Jacob Lopez, who enters with an ERA above 5.00, giving Texas another favorable spot to round out the parlay.
