Cade Cavalli, Nationals Over 6.5 Strikeouts (+110, Fanatics)
Cavalli is on a roll this season in his first full year in the majors. He comes in 11-5 with a 3.22 ERA, a 1.22 WHIP, 42 walks and 162 strikeouts over 142.2 innings of work. Meanwhile, Cavalli comes in off three straight wins and has victories in four of his last five starts. Cavalli has at least eight strikeouts in five of his last seven starts entering this contest. Facing a Colorado squad that is 24th in the majors with 8.65 strikeouts per game, Cavalli is in good shape here. Throw in that the Rockies strike out at a higher rate (9.06 times a night) on the road makes things even better. In addition, Colorado hits just .238 as a team on the road. Take the over for Cavalli’s whiffs.
Zack Wheeler, Phillies Over 7.5 Strikeouts (+120, DraftKings)
Wheeler is solid as the front of the rotation guy for the Phillies, along with Cristopher Sanchez. He seems fully recovered after surgery for thoracic outlet syndrome and is 11-4 with a 2.92 ERA, a 1.006 WHIP and 144 strikeouts over 120.1 innings of work. In addition, Wheeler has at least six strikeouts in 14 of his 21 starts, along with three others with five. Current Seattle hitters own a collective .172 average in 58 at-bats against him. Meanwhile, Wheeler holds a 32.8% strikeout rate (19 punchouts) in those at-bats. Seattle is 22nd in the majors with 8.61 strikeouts per contest. Wheeler picks up his share of whiffs again here.

Parker Messick, Guardians Over 18.5 Outs (-168, DraftKings)
Messick is one of those guys who has suffered from a lack of run support this season. He is 9-8 despite a 2.54 ERA, a 1.027 WHIP, 40 walks and 152 strikeouts over 149 innings in 25 starts on the year. Messick threw at least six innings in 11 of his 25 starts this season. That includes a 6.2-inning showing against the Giants in his last start. However, he took the loss in that outing despite allowing one run on six hits with no walks and 10 strikeouts. Facing an Angels squad going nowhere, Messick should go deep into this one. Take the over on his outs prop as a result.
Chase Burns, Reds Over 17.5 Outs (+100, Fanatics)
Burns is sizzling as the regular season winds down for the Reds. He is 14-2 with a 2.51 ERA, a 1.11 WHIP, 48 walks and 159 strikeouts over 136 innings of work on the year. Burns gets a crack at pitching in a pitcher friendly ballpark in Oracle Park for this one. In addition, he faces a Giants squad that struggles to score runs with any consistency. After all, the Giants are tied for 26th in the majors with an average of 4.02 runs per game on the year. With Burns’ electric stuff and the Giants’ mediocre bats, the sound strategy is to back him going over his outs total here.
