Los Angeles Dodgers Heating Up and Closing In on Best Record in Baseball

The Los Angeles Dodgers started this season fairly slow by their standards. Not that it was a bad start, but they were not the dominant force that felt unbeatable like they have looked at points in recent years. But now they are starting to look much more like that version of themselves.

As the season goes on, everything is starting to click. The veterans on the team are finding their stride, and even some of the younger players they are calling up are making an impact. And after that slower start, the Dodgers have now won five games in a row and are suddenly right back in the mix for the best record in all of baseball.

In fact, they are just one game behind the Atlanta Braves, who are 37-19, while the Dodgers are 36-20. So, depending on how things play out over the next few days, Los Angeles could claim the top spot and the best record in baseball by the end of the weekend, if not sooner.

And while a five-game win streak is not everything, it is enough to remind teams that the Dodgers are still one of the teams to beat, and they are very capable of going on long stretches where they frankly look unbeatable.

That feels important because this is a battle-tested team. They have gone through adversity before, and while they do not have many slow stretches, when they do, they have shown they can counter those with hot stretches in a hurry.

At this point, the Dodgers are not just playing better. They are starting to look like the version of themselves that could make yet another real World Series run. Could they make it three in a row with a World Series win this season?
