As if the Los Angeles Dodgers weren’t already the team to beat in MLB, their All-Star nods further proved that they’re still the top team in the league and the most talented roster in baseball.

When the 2026 MLB All-Star Game starters were announced, the Dodgers led all teams with four position players earning a spot. Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman, Mookie Betts and Will Smith will all represent Los Angeles as starters.

It’s an impressive accomplishment, and it speaks to where the Dodgers stand as a franchise.

Year after year, they find themselves in the conversation as the team to beat, and this season has been no different. They’ve got one of the deepest lineups in baseball, blending superstar talent with consistency both in the field and at the plate. It starts with the superstar talent at the top, but even the back half of the roster is loaded.

It starts with Ohtani, who is able to impact the game on both sides and is one of the greatest baseball players of all time. Freeman, Betts and Smith round out a group that makes life incredibly difficult for opposing pitchers every single night.

Getting just one All-Star starter is an accomplishment. Getting four is a statement.

This just highlights how good the Dodgers are and how complete this roster is. They’ll have a chance to three-peat this season and continue what has become one of the most dominant stretches in recent MLB history.

The All-Star Game is about individual recognition, but this also says plenty about the team as a whole. The Dodgers are still a baseball juggernaut, and they’re still the team everybody else in baseball is chasing.

The game itself will take place on July 14 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
