Logan Webb under 5.5 strikeouts kicks off my MLB best bets today at -127 on DraftKings Sportsbook. The San Francisco Giants' ace is off to a slow start in 2026, and the matchup cooperates.
Webb hasn't really been a high-velocity pitcher. His fastball sat in just the 23rd percentile last year, but he's always had the secondary stuff to put hitters away. That part hasn't shown up yet in 2026. Per Baseball Savant, he ranks in just the 34th percentile in strikeout rate and 17th percentile in whiff rate, with a 4.41 xERA. The nastiness just isn't there right now.
The Philadelphia Phillies have been a disappointment this season overall, but they're striking out at just a 20.6% clip against right-handed pitching, which is the eighth-best mark in the league, per FanGraphs. They may also be playing with a little extra energy under new management. Webb's uninspiring stuff against a lineup that doesn't swing and miss makes this under very appealing.

Chris Bassitt under 4.5 strikeouts is back on the board after Wednesday's rainout, and we're going right back to it at -125 on BetMGM Sportsbook. This might just be who Bassitt is now in 2026, and it's not pretty.
Per Baseball Savant, Bassitt ranks in the 1st percentile in strikeout rate and 3rd percentile in swinging-strike percentage. He is not missing any bats, and he hasn't reached four strikeouts in a single game all season. I cannot figure out why this line isn't 3.5, but books are hanging 4.5 with some juice, so we'll happily take it.
The Houston Astros are striking out just 20% of the time against right-handed pitchers this season, one of the stingiest marks in baseball. An extra unexpected day off between starts doesn't help Bassitt's rhythm either. This is one of the cleaner MLB player props today.

Cameron ranks in just the 11th percentile in barrel rate allowed at 14% and the 17th percentile in hard-hit rate, and his numbers across the board have been ugly.
