Chase Burns is sticking out as one of my favorite MLB player props today, and I'm going over 7.5 strikeouts at -125 on FanDuel Sportsbook. Burns flashed his ceiling during a cup of coffee last summer, and he's been nothing short of spectacular so far in 2026. The underlying numbers are elite.
Per Baseball Savant, he ranks in the 98th percentile in whiff percentage, 81st percentile in chase percentage, and he's sporting a 37% strikeout rate on the season. Burns has punched out 16 batters in just 11 innings pitched in 2026.
The Los Angeles Angels are striking out at the fifth-highest clip in baseball at 27% against right-handed pitching so far this season, per FanGraphs. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see this line move to 8.5 by Friday afternoon. This Burns prop could end up being one of the best MLB bets today, and I don't mind hitting the ladder on this one.

MLB Player Props: Jesus Luzardo Under 5.5 Strikeouts
Jesus Luzardo seems like one of the best MLB bets today. You can get this prop over 5.5 strikeouts at +102 on FanDuel Sportsbook. I'll be honest — this one feels a little uncomfortable at the number, but getting better than even money on a statistically competitive is real value.
Luzardo possesses a huge ceiling from a strikeout perspective. He's struck out 36% of lefties and nearly 24% of right-handed hitters across the last two seasons. The issue is that Arizona is about as stingy as it gets against southpaws in 2026.
The Diamondbacks rank second in strikeout rate against left-handed pitching at just a 13.9% clip this season, according to FanGraphs. They're projected to roll out five hitters who also struck out 15% of the time or less against left-handed pitchers in 2025. It's a challenging line, but the positive odds make this one of the more intriguing MLB player prop picks today.

Paddack threw his fastball and changeup a combined 75% of the time to left-handed hitters in 2025. Lefties posted ISOs north of .200 against both of those pitches from him, according to AddMoreFunds. He also allowed a 44% fly-ball rate, which is exactly the kind of number you want to attack when predicting homers.
Kerry Carpenter is one of my top MLB player prop picks for home runs today. Carpenter posted a .345 ISO against right-handed pitchers last season, but his ISO against right-handed fastballs, specifically, was .348. Carpenter does the most damage against the pitches that Paddack throws most frequently, so that's why he's my top MLB home run pick today. Riley Greene also makes a lot of sense in this spot.
