It’s an eight-game slate on the diamond to start the new week off Monday, starting at 6:10 pm ET when the Rays open an early week set with the Guardians at Progressive Field. The schedule gives plenty of opportunities to find the best MLB bets today, including the top home run props. After looking over the slate, we’ve identified our favorite plays to bolster your bankroll. Without further ado, let’s get to the best options on the board for Monday, April 27.

Best MLB Bets Today: Player Props for April 27

Dylan Cease, Blue Jays Over 7.5 Strikeouts (+104, DraftKings)

Cease has electric stuff, which was a major reason the Blue Jays backed up the Brinks truck in the offseason. He had five straight seasons with at least 214 strikeouts on the ledger entering 2026. Cease has five starts on the ledger spanning 25.2 innings and he hasn’t slipped. He has 44 punchouts on the books, an average of 15.4 Ks/9 innings. Boston is middle of the road in strikeout rate this year entering Monday. Of the guys on Boston’s roster that have faced Cease, he has 19 punchouts in 54 at-bats. If Cease can get into the sixth inning, he should have eight or nine punchouts.

Teoscar Hernandez, Dodgers Over 1.5 Total Bases text(+118, DraftKings)

Hernandez is a bit of a streaky hitter and he’s been quiet of late. He’s just six of 38 (.158) with a double, a homer, four RBI and 11 strikeouts in his last 10 games. Despite his recent issues, he sees the ball well off the hand of Chris Paddack, who takes the hill for the Marlins here. Paddack is 0-4 with a 6.38 ERA and a 1.542 WHIP on the year. Meanwhile, Hernandez is four of six with a double in his career against Paddack. The Dodgers are at home, where Hernandez has hit .256 with 24 doubles, 38 homers and 100 RBI in 159 games in his career. He should rattle Paddack and start a new hit streak.

Max Fried, Yankees Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-118, FanDuel)

Fried has had success against the current Rangers’ hitters. He has limited current Texas hitters to a paltry .162 average with 39 strikeouts in 111 at-bats. Fried hasn’t been a big strikeout pitcher yet this season, recording 32 strikeouts in 41.1 innings of work on the year. He does provide depth, going at least 6.1 innings in five of his six starts. Texas is 24th in the majors in strikeout rate this season with 9.24 whiffs per game. Fried comes in off a start where he struck out nine in eight shutout frames against Boston. He should get to six here against a sputtering Rangers’ lineup.

Home Run Picks Today:

Max Muncy, Dodgers (DraftKings, +323)

Muncy is off to a stellar start for the Dodgers, hitting .300 on the year. He has nine homers in 90 at-bats this season, though they have admittedly been low-impact. Meanwhile, Muncy, for all his long balls, has just 11 RBI on the year. He has dinged Chris Paddack before in his career. In 15 at-bats against the Marlins’ starter, Muncy is hitting .267 against him. All four hits are of the extra-base variety with a pair of doubles and a pair of long balls to his credit. With Paddack scuffling, Muncy could add to his strong start by going yard here.

Colson Montgomery, White Sox (+375, Fanatics)

Montgomery isn’t off to as strong of a start as last season for the White Sox. He is hitting just .224 but he has hit seven home runs on the season. The Angels had to fly in after facing the Royals in Kansas City over the weekend. Jack Kochanowicz gets the ball for the Angels and he’s been decent, going 2-0 with a 3.10 ERA in 29 innings of work on the year. Montgomery had success against Kochanowicz last season and tries to continue that here. He is two of three with a home run and four RBI against Kochanowicz. This could be a chance for his bat to deliver a big blow for the Pale Hose.
