It’s a full 16-game slate on the diamond to finish off your weekend Sunday, starting at 1:35 pm ET when the Red Sox close a weekend set with the Orioles at Oriole Park at Camden Yards with a new manager. The schedule gives plenty of opportunities to find the best MLB bets today, including the top home run props. After looking over the slate, we’ve identified our favorite plays to bolster your bankroll. Without further ado, let’s get to the best options on the board for Sunday, April 26.

Best MLB Bets Today: Player Props for April 26

Seth Lugo, Royals Over 5.5 Strikeouts (+101, DraftKings)

Lugo has been the victim of poor run support this season. He’s posted a 1.15 WHIP while recording 28 strikeouts in 31.1 innings of work on the year yet is just 1-1. Lugo threw seven scoreless frames against the Orioles his last time out, allowing just one hit, and wound up with a no-decision. He’s fanned at least seven hitters three times in his five starts this year. The Angels just whiffed 11 times in six innings against Cole Ragans and 14 times overall Saturday night. With that said, Lugo should get at least six punchouts here for the Royals while keeping the Angels’ bats cold.

Oneil Cruz, Pirates Over 1.5 Total Bases (+171, DraftKings)

Cruz has cooled off a bit lately after his hot start to the year. He has just seven hits in his last 10 games, including a zero for five showing in Saturday’s 6-3, 10-inning win over the Brewers. With that said, even though Cruz has just one multi-hit game in their last 10 contests, he has been decent. Cruz has gone over the number in five of those games, including putting up at least three total bases in four games. If Cruz can avoid the strikeout (he had four Saturday), Kyle Harrison is hittable. As it stands, 13 of Cruz’s 29 hits have gone for extra bases. He can take one yard.

Junior Caminero, Rays Over 1.5 Total Bases (-110, Fanatics)

Caminero is on a tear at the moment for the Rays. He extended his hit streak to 10 games with a knock Saturday. In that span, he is 14 for 44 with a double, six homers and 11 RBI entering Sunday. Caminero has averaged 3.3 total bases in that stretch, picking up multiple bags in seven contests. Simeon Woods Richardson is on the bump for the hits are a double and a home run. Either one cashes for us in this situation as the Rays go for the series sweep.

Home Run Picks Today:

Yordan Alvarez, Astros (Fanatics, +240)

Alvarez has cranked a league-high 11 homers on the year entering this one. At home, prior to Saturday’s action, he had a .404/.508/.923 slash at Daikin Park in 52 at-bats. Alvarez had six doubles and seven homers on the ledger in those contests entering the weekend. He was hitting .323 with six homers and 15 RBI over 65 at-bats against right-handed pitching. Luis Gil has pitched carefully to Alvarez, who is 0 for 1 with a pair of walks against him. New York’s bullpen has issues and Alvarez could capitalize here.

Munetaka Murakami, White Sox (+310, Fanatics)

Murakami doesn’t have the prettiest slash line but what he has shown is plenty of pop in his bat. He was 0 for 5 Saturday against the Nationals, dropping his average to .242 on the year. With that said, he’s launched 11 homers in his first month as a major league hitter. Meanwhile, he faces a Nationals pitching staff that has surrendered a league-high 48 bombs on the year. That leans toward Murakami doing his part with the power game against a shaky Washington staff to rebound from a down Saturday.
