For the first time since his tragic car accident in 2021, the five-time Masters champion won't battle the ups and downs of the course at Augusta National Golf Club for a shot at taking home another green jacket. Woods suffered a torn Achilles in March, terminating his 2025 season before it began.

Sherman noted that the Westgate offered a bevy of Woods-related props for the Masters, even during his decline. In recent years, the betting handle on Woods to make or miss the cut at Augusta was similar to that of a lower-tier NFL game. For those unfamiliar, the handle refers to the total amount of money wagered by bettors at a sportsbook over a given period.

Additionally, Sherman stated that the SuperBook's betting handle for the Masters is down roughly eight percent compared to the last few years when Woods competed.

Interestingly enough, Ludvig Åberg was a popular wager in recent months, with his odds dipping as low as +1400. However, Åberg's price tag has risen to +2000 because of his short-game woes. He's coming off consecutive missed cuts after finishing as the runner-up in his first Masters tournament a year ago.

A few weeks ago, Hovland rebounded from three straight missed cuts to take home the Valspar Championship trophy. The Norwegian golfer demonstrated his tee-to-green prowess while winning the 2023 FedEx Cup Championship. That same year, he finished tied for seventh at Augusta National.

To boot, Sherman has a plus-money matchup bet on Hovland to finish higher than Spieth on the Masters leaderboard.

"I haven't seen Spieth put together four rounds this season," Sherman said. "He hasn't showcased any consistency. ... I have more faith in Hovland at plus-money."

Regarding more recent Masters picks, Sherman placed bets on fellow longshots Shane Lowry (45-1) and Robert MacIntyre (63-1) on Monday.
