The Maryland Lottery’s review of the operators will be held on Thursday and sent to SWARC for final review. Once each applicant is evaluated by SWARC, they can be approved within 45 days. The deadline for final review will be November 21, meaning SWARC will not take the full 45 days to evaluate.

This is a major progression for Maryland. Residents have been eager for the mobile market o go live and now should see this in a few weeks. Maryland is also coming off of its largest month for sports betting revenue since launch. The booming retail market comes just as online near its launch.

What will Sports Betting Look Like In Maryland?

The Maryland online sports betting market will see statewide sports betting available through apps. The market will be similar to its neighbors in Virginia as well as how Washington D.C. lawmakers are hoping to become. This would make the entire DMV area mobile betting friendly.

Maryland residents will not be waiting much longer for their sports betting market. It is an exciting time to be a sports bettor in the Old Line State.
