Expert March Madness Brackets
TheLines managing editor Stephen Andress made each staff member that wanted their bracket to be part of this post to print it and fill it out by hand. He’s been filling out brackets by hand since middle school in 1998. This sent several people at TheLines scouring for their local office supply store, because who has printers anymore? But sometimes old school is just better, and pen and paper brackets just feel right.

Popular Upset Picks
Stephen, Brett and Mo each have South Dakota State pulling the upset over 4-seed Providence. The Jack Rabbits are an unusually small NCAA Tournament underdog for a 13-seed this year. Eli also pinpointed Providence as a team with red flags well before Selection Sunday.
Double-digit seeds that could reach the second weekend:
- Stephen has both Davidson and Loyola-Chicago in the Sweet 16.
- Mo has Virginia Tech winning two games after capturing the ACC tournament championship.
- Brett has Davidson, Virginia Tech and South Dakota State reaching the Sweet 16.
- Ryan likes Colorado State (one of Eli’s darlings in the preseason) to make a Sweet 16 run, upsetting Tennessee.
