Many NFL Teams to Attend Jordyn Tyson's Workout Friday
We're less than a week away from the NFL Draft, and Jordyn Tyson, one of the most polarizing prospects in the class, is putting on a workout today in front of more than half the league.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that 18 NFL teams are expected to attend Tyson's workout today at Arizona State. ESPN NFL analyst Peter Schrager added on X, "Rarely have we seen such a significant workout session with such a massive turnout less than a week from the draft. And yes, the Giants are there."
NFL Prospect Jordyn Tyson Working Out Friday Before NFL Draft
It's an anomaly event for a prospect to work out this close to draft night. Tyson's injury history is the obvious hole in his player profile, and teams are eager to see what he looks like live and in person before committing draft capital. Many draft prognosticators, NFL scouts, and talent evaluators agree that Tyson could be the best wide receiver in this class.
How he looks today could dictate where he falls in the first round next Thursday in Pittsburgh. If the workout goes well, Tyson could solidify himself as a top-12 pick. If there are any red flags, teams may push him down their boards — opening the door for other receivers to leapfrog him. Tyson posted over 2,200 receiving yards and logged 22 touchdowns across three collegiate seasons.
Either way, the turnout alone tells you everything you need to know about the interest level. Eighteen teams showing up days before the draft isn't typical. Tyson clearly has the talent to be a game-changer at the next level. The only question left is the medicals – and it's a big one.
