Thursday Night Football Odds

It seems Caesars has decided to be a bit more conservative adjusting their power number for the Bears even as others — including TheLines’ staff — have nearly unanimously moved them to No. 32 in the league.

This number seems a bit more likely to move toward the Commanders, seeing as they are expected to lose to Philly this week. Any competitive effort there probably holds their power number, while the Bears are home underdogs to a poorly regarded Denver team. Another putrid effort would sink their perception to rock bottom if they haven’t already reached that.

Sunday Night Football Odds

The big one, which could have been even bigger had the Cowboys showed up to play in Week 3. Coming off two consecutive years of playoff eliminations at the hands of the 49ers, Dallas has surely had this one circled for months.

Dallas has a much tougher Week 4 matchup hosting New England. If they can reassert themselves on defense, we could see this settle at 49ers -3. Remember that the Cowboys were widely regarded as the class of the NFL early this season before flopping in Arizona.

Monday Night Football Odds

This line is stuck in a little bit of no man’s land and doesn’t seem likely to see an impactful move. The Packers get some extra rest after playing on Thursday Night Football in Week 4, and they might inch this line up to -2.5 with an impressive win over a highly regarded Lions team. However, keep in mind that David Bakhtiari will likely sit this one out.

Raiders odds could depend on the return of Jimmy Garoppolo from concussion protocol. Keep an eye on this and ensure he doesn’t get reinjured, as the Raiders backup QBs are among the league’s worst.

Bengals At Cardinals

The Bengals have yet to put together a strong game and have another closely lined contest in Week 4 against a Tennessee defense that has been lopsided (fourth in EPA/play allowed rushing, 26th in passing). Joe Burrow looking like himself would go a long way toward reinstating market confidence in this team. But through three weeks, we have yet to see it.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals just keep playing competitive games and covering. This number could definitely drop south of a touchdown if that continues in perhaps their toughest test yet in San Francisco.

Jets At Broncos

Another QB situation in flux, though not due to injury, is that of the Jets. The team brought in Trevor Siemian to give an alternative option if Zach Wilson continues to be unable to get the ball downfield. If Wilson bombs again, which seems likely against a strong Chiefs defense on national TV, expect Denver to lay more than field goal here. After all, they have a plum bounce back spot this week against the disintegrating Bears.
