2024 LIV Golf Hong Kong Odds: Red Hot Niemann Joins Rahm Among Favorites
LIV Golf heads east from Jeddah to Hong Kong this week as Week 2 of the Anthony Kim experience gets underway. With Jon Rahm still looking for his first win since joining the league and Talor “Asterisk” Gooch trying to show why we should care about his Augusta snub, LIV golf odds for Honk Kong will have plenty of action.

LIV Golf Odds: Hong Kong Preview
Favorites
Two wins in three starts has elevated Joaquin Niemann to the top of the odds board, but he’s also been wildly successful outside of LIV. Now a part of Masters odds after good results in Dubai and Australia over the winter, Niemann is arguably the golfer in best form anywhere in the world right now.
Jon Rahm is top of the odds board, as he essentially will be all season – three Top 10s to start the year, Rahm has been what you’d expect. At his price, however, it’s too low. A similar case could be said for Tyrell Hatton, who has yet to come in the Top 5 and only has one Top 10 this season.
Bryson DeChambeau is rounding into some form, having gone 25th-9th-4th in three starts this season. With potentially some rust ironed out of his game, DeChambeau should be in contention this week. That Bryson is also one of the few LIV golfers who seems to enthusiastically support the product, as opposed to someone very obviously cashing a check, makes him appealing in market.
Brooks Koepka and Cam Smith are both playing middling golf right now, and it’s always been unclear how much either of them care about LIV in the first place. It’s usually bad news to care too much about motivation in team sports, but it is clear that some who left for LIV do not view it as a priority to actually perform. Given they all earned huge guaranteed contracts to leave the PGA Tour, and many are in the autumns of their careers, this isn’t a surprise.
Longshots
Beyond the favorites, there’s two classes of golfer generally at the same prices. You have older, more established, on the downside of their career guys, and then younger guys who have shown less. As a general rule, I’d rather throw darts on the latter. While there’s not always great recent form, there are talents who LIV managed to take.
A T4 at LIV Vegas has me interested in Matt Wolff, even after the WD in Jeddah. Abe Ancer is trending up with a T12 last week after two tournaments outside the Top 20. And Jason Kokrak has back-to-back top-six finishes.
Anthony Kim is the other major news story of LIV Hong Kong, with the former PGA Tour winner shooting 76-76-74 en route to a DFL finish. If his poor performance is because of rust and not mediocrity, improvement this week will be interesting.
