Octoplay Adds Pennsylvania to List of US iGaming Jurisdictions

Casino software firm Octoplay has entered the regulated Pennsylvania market. It’s the third U.S. state where Octoplay will operate, following its 2025 moves into New Jersey and Michigan.

Octoplay provides online casino games to over 20 global markets, supplying brands as diverse as PokerStars, Novibet, and BetMGM.

Its focus is predominantly online slots with a portfolio of classic games, branded titles, and Hold & Win slots. While it has a foothold in many European jurisdictions, North America remains a focus for Octoplay.

Third State in 18 Months

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board granted Interim Authorization to Octoplay this week.

Martina Borg Stevens, Octoplay’s Chief Legal Officer, praised Pennsylvania as having “one of the highest bars in the United States”, adding that the company was now active in “three of the largest regulated states in the country.”

Pennsylvania legalized online casinos in 2017, some six years before Octoplay launched as a business. The company has moved relatively quickly to enter the regulated space.

2025 was a busy year for the company, which acquired New Jersey and Michigan licenses within the same 12 months.

#1 ‘New Overall Top Supplier’

Octoplay hit the #1 spot as ‘Top Overall New Supplier in the U.S.’ for four months running this summer, according to the Eilers & Krejcik Gaming, LLC and Fantini Online Game Performance Report.

Octoplay slots have proved popular with customers and platforms alike. The portfolio of 80+ games features titles that are compatible with a range of side bets, including the double chance feature.

• Double Chance: The Double Chance feature is available in U.S. jurisdictions at participating online casinos. The activated tool increases the chance of triggering a main feature.
• Jackpot Hunt: The Jackpot Hunt feature is available via a side bet on any Octoplay game. It’s a Plinko-style side game that can release a progressive jackpot.
• Daily Hunt: Available at participating casinos, Daily Hunt is a must-drop jackpot that is won every day. It’s available as a side bet on any Octoplay game.
• Burning Jackpots: Branded slots like ‘Elvis Presley: Burning Jackpots’ feature a Hold & Win bonus, plus four special fixed jackpots.

North American Push a Priority

North America remains Octoplay’s primary market, despite having launched in multiple European jurisdictions.

It has also been quick off the mark with its Canadian ambitions. Octoplay launched on Day 1 as Alberta went live with regulated online gambling during the summer. Octoplay games are now available at seven online casinos in the Canadian province, including FanDuel and BetMGM.

A similar move into Brazil could be scuppered by the drastic crackdown on legal online gambling there. Octoplay went live in Brazil in February through a partnership with Superbet.

However, Brazil last week banned all online gambling in the country in a sweeping legal crackdown. Octoplay is just one of hundreds of operators affected.
