New York Sports Betting Handle for NFL Week 6 Rises 11% YoY

The New York State Gaming Commission reported $615.1 million in mobile sports betting handle for the week ending Oct. 18, the fifth-highest total in state history.
It is the fourth time this year and eighth time overall that weekly wagering topped $600 million in the Empire State. Handle was up 11% from last year’s Week 6 of the NFL season, which spanned Oct. 6-12, 2025.

The state’s eight mobile sportsbooks had a banner week, collecting $63.3 million in revenue while attaining a 10.3% hold. FanDuel led the way with $27.3 million, while DraftKings posted $20.9 million.
With all eight operators finishing the week in the black, the state's estimated tax receipts totaled $32.3 million and surpassed $1 billion for the 2026 calendar year.
The Week 6 Bettor Blues Strike Again
To say Week 6 of the NFL season has been unkind to New York bettors would be a severe understatement. It's the third time in the last four years revenue surpassed $60 million for the corresponding week, and it was the fourth time operators finished with a double-digit hold.

The $62 million in revenue and 15.4% hold in 2023 were then-state records. Week 6 has been so good historically that this year’s revenue was down 8% from 2025, even though the $68.8 million claimed still ranks 10th in state history.
The betting public beat the house only once in Week 6 during the five years mobile betting has been available in New York: in 2024, when the house finished with a 4.3% hold and $20.6 million in revenue from $483.8 million in accepted wagers.
Solid Performances from Nearly Every Operator
Four of the eight operators notched double-digit holds, while only BetRivers landed below 7%. TheScore Bet took top honors in this category with a robust 15.1% win rate, and its $1.2 million in revenue ranks fourth since entering New York last December.
Bally Bet, the state’s smallest digital sportsbook, posted a 14% hold and reaped $353,400 in winnings. FanDuel notched a 12.1% hold on $226.5 million in wagers, its best week since it racked up a state-record $43.1 million the week ending Jan. 18. It was also the second time in three weeks FanDuel’s handle topped $220 million.
DraftKings eked out a 10% hold against $208.5 million handle as the operator posted its first week with $20 million in revenue since accruing $23.1 million the week ending July 19.
Fanatics finished a distant third in revenue with $5.8 million, posting an 8.5% hold on $68.4 million in wagers. BetMGM took home $4.1 million thanks to a 7.7% win rate from $53.2 million in handle, and Caesars netted nearly $3.1 million with an 8.2% hold on $37.5 million in accepted bets.
BetRivers could only muster a 5.8% hold for the week, finishing with $602,300 in revenue.
