Desmond Ridder Week 5 Player Props
Ridder has had an up-and-down start to his first full season as a starting NFL quarterback. The Falcons have lost two in a row and need Ridder to improve his throwing accuracy. The second-year QB has the 10th-lowest completion percentage among qualified starters and the 12th-worst rating at 83.2. What’s worse, Atlanta calls the third-fewest pass plays per game, further magnifying his inefficient throws.
To be fair, his targets are among the worst at getting open. Falcons receivers have created the least amount of separation combined among any WR unit. Houston has been elite against the pass under new head coach DeMeco Ryans.
Ridder’s passing yards prop is set at a beatable , just below his season average so far. He out-performed that number in three of his first four starts to the season. Were it not for an abysmal game in Week 1 vs. a decent Carolina pass defense, his averages would look much better.
