Apr 27: Opened 20-1 on the morning line, running out of Post 6.
Apr. 7: Closed a 30-1, middle of the pack, in April’s Kentucky Derby futures pool following a runner-up finish in the Arkansas Derby.
Mar. 30: Went ent off at 32-1 in the Arkansas Derby. Sat a length off the pace for the entire run and could not close the gap from a powerful finish from Muth (2-1). Just Steel did pass a fading Timberlake (even favorite). Came in second by three lengths, but also finished ahead of the rest of the pack by at least four lengths.
