Best Home Run Bets For April 22 MLB Promos

You can use that logic with many players when targeting pitchers, bullpens, or homer-friendly conditions. For instance, if we select Aaron Judge, but you want a longer shot, you can easily bet on Ben Rice instead.

Pete Alonso: 

Citi Field is slightly above average among long-ball-friendly stadiums this season (102 park factor), and Alonso continues to mash southpaws. He's tallied a slash line of .375/.500/.750 with one home run in only 16 at-bats.

Even against Phillies left-hander Christopher Sanchez, an NL Cy Young candidate, Alonso's home run odds don't necessarily reflect his potential to go yard in a plus-matchup. Sanchez has yielded a 22.2% HR/FB rate, ranking in the bottom five among qualified starting pitchers.

Nevertheless, the most popular home run odds on the board aren't always the ones that cash in, like Phillies outfielder Nick Castellanos. Among Monday's MLB action, BetMGM Sportsbook reported more bets on the Phillies' outfielder to hit a dinger than on any team to win.

Given the volatility involved with home run odds, whether you're betting on Alonso or another player to go yard, I recommend only tossing some pizza money on this prop bet.

Bryan Reynolds:

After accumulating at least 24 home runs over the last four seasons, the Pirates' outfielder is off to a slow start while playing through a teres major muscle strain in the back of his right shoulder. However, he could benefit from playing in Angel Stadium, tied for the fifth-highest park factor (112) for home runs in 2025.

Additionally, the switch-hitting Reynolds has historically delivered more pop versus right-handed pitchers, and he'll face one in José Soriano. The Angels' No. 2 starter has surrendered a 14.3% HR/FB rate thus far.
