PGA Championship Round 3 Props: Saturday's Round

We're set for Saturday at Aronimink, and we’ve got three of our favorite PGA Championship props locked in for Round 3. Our PGA picks today include a Brian Harman two-ball at plus money, a Rickie Fowler matchup against Xander Schauffele, and Patrick Cantlay as a short favorite in his matchup. Let’s get into the best PGA Championship bets for Saturday, May 16.

PGA Championship Props: Round 3 Picks Saturday

Brian Harman over Justin Rose at plus money is my favorite PGA Championship prop today. You can grab this pick at +120 on BetMGM Sportsbook. This is a Round 3 two-ball where a tie results in no action, and I’m comfortable backing Harman as the better overall ball-striker so far this week.

Harman is at least gaining strokes on approach against the field through two rounds at Aronimink, while Rose is only slightly positive at +0.28 strokes gained on approach for the tournament. That’s basically neutral in this field and not enough to offset how rough it has been off the tee.

Rose has lost 1.40 strokes off the tee through two rounds, putting him among the weaker drivers in the field this week. The putter has carried him, as he’s gained 0.61 strokes putting. But relying on the flatstick alone at a demanding major setup is not a long-term recipe.

Harman is striking it more consistently tee to green, both players are putting fine, and we’re getting plus money on the steadier profile. That’s exactly the kind of golf prop I want in a Round 3 two-ball.

PGA Championship Picks Today: Rickie Fowler 2-Ball Winner

Rickie Fowler at +125 in his Round 3 matchup with Xander Schauffele is a price-driven PGA Championship pick and one of my favorite golf props on Saturday. On paper, it looks scary. Schauffele is a top-10 player in the world, but Xander hasn't been elite this weekend.

Schauffele is coming off a shaky Round 2 where he lost strokes ball-striking and didn’t look fully comfortable with his irons or off the tee. He’s still putting well, which is keeping him in the mix, but there’s some volatility under the hood.

Fowler, meanwhile, entered the PGA Championship in excellent form and graded out as one of the top plays in my model, just like Schauffele. He’s gained strokes on approach in his last few starts, has been solid off the tee, and is at least neutral in the short game through two rounds at Aronimink.

This matchup looks a lot more like a coin flip than the market implies.

PGA Picks Today: Patrick Cantlay 2-Ball Winner

Patrick Cantlay at -145 in his Round 3 two-ball with Jason Day rounds out my PGA picks today. It’s never fun to lay -125, but Cantlay’s tee-to-green numbers justify it.

Cantlay was one of my top pre-tournament plays, and he’s delivered through two rounds. Through Friday, he has gained 1.51 strokes on approach vs. the field and 3.03 strokes tee to green. That ranks among the best marks at Aronimink heading into the weekend.

The only thing holding him back a bit is the putter, where he’s slightly negative against the field, but that’s much easier to bet on normalizing than a shaky ball-striking profile.

Day is plenty capable, but he doesn’t bring the same level of iron play or overall consistency right now. Cantlay is striking it this well and showing sustained form over the last six weeks. The -145 price is a fair tag for him to win this two-ball on Saturday.
