Golf DFS Picks: 3 Sleepers For The 2025 Sentry Fantasy Contests

The fall swing in the rearview can only mean one thing. We’re back to talking PGA TOUR longshots for DFS and golf odds. Kicking off the 2025 festivities is the Sentry at The Plantation Course at Kapalua in Maui, Hawaii.
As always, this event features a decorated yet limited field of the top players from the prior season. However, this year, the field has expanded to 60 players who reached the 2024 BMW Championship, along with all PGA TOUR winners in 2024.
In soft and calm conditions, the Sentry has proven to be a birdie-maker’s paradise, offering little resistance with its massive fairways and oversized greens. With that said, given the limited field size, it has not historically been an event that’s rewarded longshots. With an expanded field and dry, windy conditions in 2025, it sets up for more volatility than we’ve seen in recent years.
Ahead, we’ll dive into the most viable longshot options to consider for the Sentry in golf DFS.

To identify “value” any given week on the PGA TOUR, I find it’s best to first understand the consensus key stat profile. Then, take a stance on the elements of the tournament that may go overlooked.
At the Sentry, Course History and Birdies or Better Gained are consensus key areas factored into each player’s price. To exploit value, I’m looking to take a stance on the importance of approach proximity from 200+ yards and SG: Short Game to differentiate my player pool.
Below, find my favorite value PGA golf DFS picks and longshots for the 2025 Sentry. Stats are pulled from the last 36 rounds unless otherwise noted.

3 Potential Golf DFS SLeepers To Consider
Harry Hall
Thanks to a red-hot stretch in the 2024 fall swing, it was none other than Harry Hall who emerged in the No. 1 overall spot in my model this week. I don’t expect him to out-duel elite talents like Xander Schauffele, Justin Thomas, and Collin Morikawa this week. But his strong profile fit suggests he should perform well on a course set up like Kapalua.
Since winning the ISCO Championship in July, Hall has kept the pedal down with six top-25 finishes over his next nine starts. His consistency with the short game is what’s helped sustain that elevated level of play. He ranks top three in this field in terms of SG: ARG, SG: Putting, Birdies or Better Gained, and Prox: 200+.
Though he has hasn’t quite made it onto my betting card, I like Harry Hall as a value golf DFS play and top-20 placement consideration.
Stephan Jaeger
One of a select few players who can say they survived a toe-to-toe battle with Scottie Scheffler, the 2024 Texas Children’s Houston Open champion finally realized his potential after picking up his first career PGA TOUR victory at age 35. A true boom-or-bust player, Jaeger impressed with four top-three finishes last season, including a runner-up finish just two starts ago at the Black Desert Championship in October.
The key for Jaeger to realize separation from the field has been his prowess on approach beyond 200 yards, a range players will often find themselves in at Kapalua. Jaeger ranks in the top 10 in terms of both Birdies or Better Gained and Proximity 200+. So while he’ll be making his debut at the Sentry this week, there are plenty of encouraging signs that suggest his game will translate well at this venue.
Cam Davis
Australians have a great track record at the Sentry. Whether it be Cam Smith, Matt Jones, or Jason Day, they consistently rise up the leaderboard here. If there’s a connection between the somewhat similar time zones Australia and Hawaii fall within, then Cam Davis may follow suit. He’s stayed “local” over the fall, playing his last two events in Australia, highlighted by a T6 at the BMW Australian PGA Championship.
Like Jaeger, Davis has also been boom-or-bust lately, posting three top-six finishes over his last 10 starts. Davis proved to be an initial fit for Kapalua, finishing T10 in his 2022 Sentry debut. So I’m drawn to the value of his number here, given the upside he has shown with his recent form and course history.
Though a volatile player, I like Davis as an outright flier as well. He’s proven to be a streaky birdie maker with spike putting upside.
GOLF DFS PLAYER POOL
With all the course-fit profiles in mind, I’m leaning early toward the below player pool for golf DFS picks this week. Naturally, I’m also looking their way in the 2025 Sentry odds. I’ve broken the list down by projected pricing/odds tier for DraftKings.
