Golf DFS Picks & Predictions: 4 Longshots & PGA Tour Sleepers For Texas Children’s Houston Open

The Texas Swing is officially underway. The PGA Tour leaves Florida in the rearview and shifts attention to the Lone Star State. Memorial Park is up next to host the 2025 Texas Children’s Houston Open. Below, find golf DFS picks to round out your lineup this week.
Any time World No. 1 and World No. 2 are in the same field together, you can expect a nice odds bump on the rest of the players. While Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy hog a significant portion of win equity, I’m not ready to hand the trophy over to them just yet. We’ve seen our fair share of surprises at this event since moving to Memorial Park, with three of the first four winners posting beyond 50-1 pre-tournament outright odds.

FINDING VALUE IN GOLF DFS PICKS: texas children’s houston open
To identify “value” any given week on the PGA Tour, I find it’s best to first understand the consensus key stat profile and then take a stance on the elements of the tournament that may go overlooked. At the Texas Children’s Houston Open, Course History, SG: APP, and recent form in difficult scoring conditions are consensus key areas factored into each player’s price.
From a sleeper perspective, I will take a stance on the importance of SG: ARG and Scrambling on comp-challenging scoring venues and Total Driving to seek opportunities to buy low. These players may not otherwise fit consensus trends. I’m leaning on that stance to differentiate my player pool and find value for this week’s tournament.
Below, find my favorite golf DFS picks and longshots for the 2025 Texas Children’s Houston Open. Stats were pulled across the last 36 rounds unless otherwise noted. Each player is listed with the best price in Texas Children’s Houston Open odds.

Max Greyserman
Max Greyserman was nearing “next young phenom” status in the second half of last season when he posted five top-10 finishes over eight weeks. It took some time to get his feet under him again in 2025, but he finally found his stride. Greyserman enters this week with three top-25 finishes over his last four starts. At his best, his game reminds me of WM Phoenix Open champion and 2024 Texas Children’s Houston Open runner-up Thomas Detry. Both have elite driving distance, long iron proximity and spike putting upside.
Greyserman paid off that course fit for Memorial Park in his debut last year, finishing T7 and finishing his first career top-10 on TOUR. Coming back with fond memories a second time around now, Greyserman is a player to watch for the rest of this season, especially if he can stay hot with the putter.
Harris English
I feel like a broken record touting Harris English as a value play week over week. But the market refuses to put respect on the Farmers Insurance Open champion’s name. English has not slowed since that victory at Torrey Pines in January, ranking No. 15 in the field in SG: TOT over the last 36 rounds.
English’s game translates well on a setup like Memorial Park, as he ranks above average across the four major Strokes Gained categories. His short game is at its best on these familiar Bermuda greens. And while he’s only made one prior appearance at Memorial Park (T39 in 2022), he’s had his fair share of success in Houston. He posted a career-best T4 finish at this event in 2019.
It shouldn’t shock anyone if the former Ryder Cupper posted a multi-win season. He did the same in 2021 with wins at the Sentry and the Travelers Championship. In solid overall form, I like English’s fit here on a course that rewards above-average distance, ball-striking, and scrambling in difficult conditions.

Jake Knapp
One of the hottest players on TOUR right now. It’s surprising to see the 2024 Mexico Open champion’s name available this far down the board. He’ll enter this week with four top-25 finishes over his last five starts after a slight setback at last week’s Valspar Championship.
As Stephan Jaeger, Tony Finau, Jason Kokrak, and Carlos Ortiz have each shown in their wins here, Memorial Park is kind to bombers, and Knapp has continued to develop his skills off the tee as he grows more acclimated to life on TOUR.
Knapp is far more than just a one-dimensional bomber, though. He ranks in the top 10 in the field in the key categories of SG: TOT (L16), Par-5 Scoring, and SG: Putting. He also ranks in the top 25 in SG: APP and Prox: 200+. Nearly a winner at the Cognizant Classic earlier this season, Knapp should be able to channel a similar game plan at Memorial Park, which also rewards elite driving skill, long iron proximity, and scrambling around tight Bermuda lies.
Joel Dahmen
Recent form? Check. Course History? Check. Odds value? Check! Joel Dahmen is an easy bet to talk yourself into this week as he continues to trend well in this resurgent 2025 season. He’s posted a pair of top-10 finishes over his last six starts, ranking top five in SG: T2G and SG: Ball Striking. He’s finally returned to his roots this season, relying on his precise ball striking and elite long iron play to separate. His two best career finishes (first at Corales, second at the Wells Fargo Championship) have come on some of the longest courses on TOUR, so I’ve never shied away from playing Dahmen on longer courses despite his lack of distance.
At Memorial Park, Dahmen has continued to prove he plays his best golf, where consistent ball-striking is rewarded. He’s posted a pair of top-10 finishes here over his last three starts. One of my favorite values this week, Dahmen, will be a fixture in my placement betting card and fantasy lineups.
