The PGA Tour remains stationed in the Sunshine State as the Florida Swing continues to Bay Hill Resort & Lodge for the 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational. In last week’s golf DFS picks article, we successfully identified Joel Dahmen as a longshot contender. We’ll look to keep that momentum going in search of more diamonds in the rough for your golf betting

Longshots are on a hot run to start the 2025 season, as Brian Campbell and Joe Highsmith have shown over the last two weeks. While there have been a few surprises here and there at this event, Bay Hill is a venue that rewards long-hitters with the most well-rounded skill sets. That may not exactly be conducive to landing on a longshot outright. But there’s still value to find when analyzing course profile fits throughout the field.

Identifying the right sleepers is crucial for fantasy in weeks like these. So take advantage of the latest Underdog promo code, a $100 deposit match for those interested in playing these golf DFS picks!

FINDING VALUE IN GOLF DFS PICKS: Arnold Palmer Invitational

To identify “value” any given week on the PGA Tour, I find it’s best first to understand the consensus key stat profile, then take a stance on the elements of the tournament that may go overlooked. At the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Course History, recent form, and Scoring in Difficult Conditions are consensus key areas factored into each player’s price.

From a sleeper perspective, I will take a stance on the importance of proximity from 200+ yards and Bogey Avoidance in Difficult Scoring Conditions as opportunities to buy low on some potential diamonds in the rough in this field. I’m leaning on that to differentiate my player pool and find value for this week’s tournament.

Below, find my favorite golf DFS picks and longshots for the 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational. Stats were pulled across the last 36 rounds unless otherwise noted. Each player is listed with the best price in Arnold Palmer Invitational odds.

Wyndham Clark Wyndham Clark +100000 on FanDuel

The best seems yet to come this season for Wyndham Clark. He’s looked good but not quite his 2023 Ryder Cup year self through the first few months of the season. Still, with seven top-20 finishes over his last 11 starts, Clark remains a viable consideration for Arnold Palmer Invitational odds this week.

Though known as a West Coast Poa guy with his Denver/Washington ties and infamous win at LACC, it was on these Southeast Bermuda courses where Clark played his best golf last season. He posted four top-seven finishes between the API, THE PLAYERS, RBC Heritage, and FedEx St. Jude Championship. His best finish was a solo second at this event, where he leaned on his strengths of Driving Distance and Putting on Fast Bermuda greens (top 10 in both categories). Already a winner at Quail Hollow, which has shown highly correlated crossover with Bay Hill, Clark’s game is in a great place as he heads to a challenging venue that should reward his strengths.

Jason Day Jason Day +1900 on BetRivers

Only three players in this field have donned the victorious red cardigan. And yet, you can find Day’s odds available at 10x the price of the other two. I’m not saying Jason Day deserves to be priced anywhere near that elite tier this week, but Bay Hill has proven to be one of the stickiest course history courses on tour. So, I’m especially drawn to value players this far down the board who have proven they can withstand this test.

Day’s prior success at Bay Hill checks out. He has long been able to separate with his elite driving distance, long iron play, and scrambling around tricky greenside complexes. In addition to his victory here in 2016, Day has managed five additional top-25 finishes over the last eight years. He’s turned back the clock in 2025, posting a pair of top-15 finishes over his last four starts. I can’t quite get there on Day as an outright bet. But I’ll look his way in the placement market and fantasy formats this week.

Sahith Theegala Sahith Theegala +500000 on DraftKings

It’s essential to trend into your first win at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Theegala has done that, steadily improving from an MC in his debut to T14 the following year to T6 in 2024. Theegala continues to develop into a more well-rounded player as each season goes by. And as he currently profiles, he’s best suited for a long, challenging course that rewards driving distance and scrambling.

Luckily for Theegala, that’s our setup at Bay Hill this week. Theegala comes to the Arnold Palmer Invitational ranking top-25 in Scrambling, Comp Course History, and SG: Putting (Fast Bermuda greens). He’s quietly made it through the cut in 13 consecutive starts to demonstrate his elevated floor, with five top-10 finishes over that span. Fresh off a solid T17 showing in his latest start at the Genesis Invitational, Theegala looks poised for another on a similarly long and difficult venue in Bay Hill.

Harris English Harris English +500000 on DraftKings

It feels random, but it’s Bay Hill, where Harris English has played the most consistently over the last five years. He has finished top-25 in each appearance since 2020, including a pair of top-10 finishes over that stretch. There’s no question that English can elevate his game on long and demanding courses, as he recently demonstrated with his win at the Farmers Insurance Open in January. Relative to Torrey Pines, Bay Hill should better fit English’s game. He’s proven more partial to Bermuda greens throughout his career, having grown up in Georgia.

English ranks No. 1 in the field in SG: Putting on Fast Bermuda greens and is No. 1 overall in weighted putting (L36, Bermuda, Fast greens). Also ranking No. 10 in Bogey Avoidance, English is the ideal value play or salary-saver fantasy option I’m looking for. He suits the course profile well and enters with an excellent Course History and recent form. With five top-25 finishes over his last nine starts, English will be a fixture on my placement card and fantasy lineups this week.

Best of luck if you bet or play this golf DFS picks for the 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational!
