Fun Props and Novelty Bets for Super Bowl LX
Super Bowl LX is just a couple of days away, and some of the best reasons to watch the game are all the fun novelty bets you can make only on Super Bowl Sunday. Whether you want to bet on the color of the Gatorade bath, the length of the national anthem, the coin toss, or the Super Bowl MVP postgame speech, we've got you covered.
Today, we're going to dive into some of the most fun bets you can make in the showdown between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England, where the Seahawks are currently favored by four-and-a-half points.
Super Bowl XLIX Repeat Specials
All Odds via FanDuel
These fun props are based on what happened back in Super Bowl XLIX, the first time these two met in the Super Bowl, just 11 years ago. Of course, this game featured one of the most famous moments in NFL history, when Russell Wilson and the Seahawks failed to hand the ball off to Marshawn Lynch at the one-yard line down by four points in the waning moments of the game. Instead, he threw a game-ending interception to Malcolm Butler, denying Seattle from becoming back-to-back Super Bowl champions.
Seattle to Attempt a Pass at Opponent's 1 Yard Line (+500)
Surely not. Could you imagine that they did that again? I would think that even the new regime knows that they cannot go down this road if they're at the one. Sure, Kenneth Walker III isn't Marshawn Lynch, but the Seahawks are good enough to get it done from close range.
Final Seattle Drive to End in an Interception (+950)
You know, if you're going to bet on the Patriots to pull off the upset, this one is extremely enticing. In 2025, 7.1% of all drives ended in interceptions.
While we would guess that number would be slightly higher for a team's final drive. In theory, if you think New England will win the game, this bet has some reasonable value.
Any RB to Record Most Receptions in the Game, Ties Lose (+800)
Back in Super Bowl XLIX, it was Patriots backup running back Shane Vereen who led all players with 11 receptions. That was just one of two times he ever eclipsed 10 receptions in his entire career.
Given that none of the running backs involved in this game have had more than six receptions this season, we don't particularly love this bet at all.
7+ Individual Players to Score a TD (+600)
Stay away from this one. We don't even think that there's going to be seven touchdowns scored in this game.
Looking back at the box score from Super Bowl XLIX, we forgot all about Seahawks WR Chris Matthews, who had the game of his life. Matthews had four receptions for 109 yards and a touchdown in the Super Bowl, a true unsung hero.
It's incredible to think about, considering Matthews had just 16 catches for 176 yards and one touchdown for the entirety of his regular-season career.
Super Bowl LX Novelty Props
Any Non-QB to Throw a Passing TD (+1300)
Odds via FanDuel
We absolutely love this bet as teams tend to pull out all the trick plays during the Super Bowl. While this has only ever happened six times, three of these occurrences have happened since 2018. This is phenomenal value at +1300.
Looking at regular-season stats from both teams, the only non-QB to throw a pass for either team this year was Cooper Kupp, who threw an interception.
Remember, Efton Chism III has already thrown a pass attempt for the Patriots this playoff season. He could be a Swiss Army knife in this one.
Coin Toss (-102 either side)
Odds via BetMGM
As of Wednesday, 63% of the money wagered on the coin flip was on heads at BetMGM. In fact, BetMGM claims that the coin toss is the eighth-most wagered option in the entire Super Bowl, including spreads, totals, and typical props.
Up To $1500 in Bonus Bets Paid Back if your First Bet Does Not Win Gatorade Color
Odds via DraftKings
When it comes to Gatorade color odds at DraftKings, blue and orange are +250, with yellow/lime at +260. Purple (+700), red/pink (+950), and water/clear (+1100) round out the available options.
Perhaps due to Gatorade's classic colorway, yellow/lime is the far and away leader in terms of betting handle at BetMGM and DraftKings, bringing in close to 30% of the wagers.
Scorigami (+2500)
Odds via DraftKings
For those not in the know, a Scorigami is a term for a final score that's never happened in an NFL game before. For example, the only Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl win, a 43-8 win over the Denver Broncos, was a Scorigami.
Funny enough, the Broncos were on the losing end of the only other two Super Bowl Scorigamis in NFL history. They lost to the New York Giants 39-20 in Super Bowl XXI, and were the victims of a 55-10 blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XXIV, the worst Super Bowl loss in NFL history.
Octopus (+1500)
Odds via DraftKings
An octopus is when a player scores both the touchdown and the subsequent two-point conversion. It's extremely rare and only happened three times throughout the entire 2025 NFL regular season. Save your money and bet on a Scorigami instead.
