To begin, contestants will pick over or under a first-round score for Hideki Matsuyama.

Then, it’s onto 3-balls. Users will be prompted to pick winners from seven different 3-ball matchups. Keep in mind that picking underdogs accrue more points in this format, so weigh risk and reward carefully.

For example, Scottie Scheffler is priced against Xander Schauffele and Rory McIlroy. Naturally, Scheffler is the favorite. However, correctly selecting Scheffler will earn fewer points than correctly selecting Schauffele or McIlroy.

In some cases, the underdogs in this U.S. Open contest can be worth up to three times as many points as the favorites.

The key will be accumulating more points than John Haslbauer. Those who do so will advance to the Sunday contest final, which will feature to-be-determined prizes based on a fresh round of markets.

While you’re playing, be sure to check out all of the other free-to-play games from PlayTheLines, including those for upcoming UFC events and finals matchups in both the NHL and NBA.
