Buffalo Wings

Wing sweats are a thing. How much of a thing? Last year, Americans wolfed down nearly two billion wings on Super Bowl Sunday (in other words, bet the over on how many wings you can eat).

That popularity (along with supply chain issues) has led to grocery-store wings prices rising around $3 over the past year, making take-out wings as appealing as ever. The goal is to get one wing per dollar you spend. Here’s a quick list of wings promotions from several restaurant chains:

  • It’s Just Wings: When you make a pickup order of at least $30, you can get an 11-piece boneless wings for free with promo code SBFREEWINGS.
  • Buffalo Wild Wings 20/20 Wing Bundle: For $39.99, you can get 20 traditional wings, 20 boneless wings, and french fries. At around, $1 per wing, this deal is on par with Wing Stop. And, while it’s technically not a deal you can get during the game, BWW will give you six free boneless wings if the Super Bowl goes into overtime.

More than 12 million pizzas are sold on Super Bowl Sunday, according to the industry coalition American Pizza Community (APC). The most popular topping is pepperoni, and the peak ordering time is “exactly one hour before kickoff,” the APC pointed out.

Here’s a creative free pizza promo we found.

  • DiGiornio: The at-home pizza company is offering a unique promo starting you can sign up for starting February 6. If the Super Bowl score is 14-3 at any point in the game, DiGiorno will give a free pizza to anyone who signs up for the promo. The company is getting in on prop betting, too. If any player throws for exactly 314 yards, one contest entrant will win free pizza for the entire 2022 NFL season. The company will also select one winner each if there are more than three turnovers in the game and if any drive takes exactly three minutes and 14 seconds.

Chicken Nuggets

If you buy the argument that a boneless wing is just a chicken nugget in disguise, then you’re in luck for some more free Super Bowl food.

When you order from McDonald’s through DoorDash from Feb. 10-13, you can get a free 20-piece McNuggets when you spend at least $15. The promo code? KICKOFF.
