Sports betting fans in Ohio awaiting the upcoming market have another location ready to take bets soon. FC Cincinnati has selected Taft’s Ale House on Race Street as the temporary location for its retail sportsbook. This location will go live on January 1, 2023, when the market launches. This will be the location until the TQL Stadium Ohio sportsbook is complete.

FC Cincinnati Prepares For Ohio Launch

FC Cincinnati gained its betting licenses from the Ohio Casino Control Commission. The retail sportsbook will run through its partnership with SBOpco, LLC (SuperBook). The temporary location will be active for a few years and will have betting kiosks and betting windows available.

The Ohio sports betting market will see its grand launch come New Year’s with both online and retail sportsbooks. The Ohio Sportsbook at Taft’s Ale House will begin accepting bets on New Year’s Day. Fans will have full access to odds on the SuperBook app as well as through the betting kiosks and window.

Taft’s Ale House is located four blocks away from TQL Stadium. Fans who are headed to watch FC Cincinnati matches will be within walking distance from the retail sportsbook. The sportsbook will be hosted below the bar area downstairs. FC Cincinnati is one of the major Ohio sports teams that will be hosting a retail sportsbook.

Ohio Teams Embrace Sports Betting

The Cincinnati Reds will also be launching a retail operator at Belterra Park. However, the Reds have not yet named a location for its temporary sportsbook as they build a permanent location. The Cincinnati Bengals with Betfred have also been approved to open a retail location.

The Cleveland Cavaliers initially were planning to launch a sportsbook with Fubo Gaming. However, Fubo has shut down all its sports betting operations leaving Cleveland without a betting partner. All major Ohio professional teams are aiming to launch in-stadium sportsbooks. The market is similar to that of Arizona which sees several stadium sportsbooks.

Ohio’s betting market will surely be embraced by fans once the market is officially live. Between the stadium sportsbooks and online operations incoming, Ohioans will have a lot of options for betting come the New Year.
