First off, let’s clarify that Boom Fantasy is a mobile-only DFS platform. You can only make picks and entries by installing the iOS or Android app. There’s no desktop version, and Boom Fantasy login doesn’t work via the website.
Based on our analysis, the Boom Fantasy app is a breeze to use. It features a dark background with blue accent colors, which is typical of most other DFS applications in the US. We were impressed by the bottom menu options, including Pick’em, More Games, Entries, and Recent Wins. These are the main areas you’ll access most often, and it takes a single tap to open any of them.
The neat arrangement of player cards on the Boom Fantasy app is also worth mentioning. Each card is adequately sized, with bold fonts showing the stat projections. Thanks to this setup, you can select players and build entries on the go with less room for mistakes.

Pick’em
Without debate, Pick’em is the most popular DFS option on the Boom Fantasy app. You just have to select over or under for different player stats, and you win if your predictions play out correctly. Boom Fantasy supports 2-8 players per Pick’em entry, and the maximum payout is 500x.
Our first Pick’em entry during this review was on the NHL. We predicted over/under for player goals, points, assists, shots on goal, saves, and goals allowed. Switching to the NFL, we saw yards, touchdowns, completions, attempts, interceptions, and more. Rest assured that Boom Fantasy also covers all the important stats for other sports.
Pick & Spin
After Pick’em, Pick & Spin is the leading Boom Fantasy DFS game mode. As the name suggests, you make your picks and spin a wheel to determine your payout multiplier. The maximum remains 500x, and your entry must contain two picks.
Boom Fantasy allows spinning the wheel multiple times if you don’t like the multiplier. With each spin, you’ll pay a new entry fee. You can continue until you reach the entry's maximum limit.
Before spinning the Pick & Spin wheel, we advise checking the multiplier probabilities. That’ll give you an honest idea of what to expect.
From what we saw, the chances of getting 500x and 100x are 40/1,000,000 and 400/1,000,000. So, such high multipliers are rare. If you do hit them and one of your picks loses, Boom Fantasy will pay 25x and 10x, respectively, instead of 0x.
Squad Ride
Playing Squad Ride on the Boom Fantasy Daily Fantasy Sports app is like undertaking a mission. First, you build a squad of three players from at least two teams. Next, Boom will set three scoring milestones that your athletes must beat to win. Out of the three, you’ll get a payout for the highest milestone your squad completes.
For instance, an 80+ point milestone may reward a 5x multiplier. So, if all players in your squad score a total of 80 and above, you receive 5x your entry fee as a payout. From our observations, the milestones vary depending on the players you select. The targets are always higher for top-performing athletes.
Pick’em Royale
If you want to play Pick’em in a tournament style, select Royale on Boom Fantasy. This mode is peer-to-peer (P2P), and you compete with up to 5,000 entries by other DFS players. Boom Fantasy adds all entries into a pool, and you win a share of the pot if you’re among the best 50 players at the end.
In our Boom Fantasy reviews, we noted that access to Pick’em Royale is limited. The platform only supports P2P entries in AL, CA, MA, VT, WV, and WY.
Coverage
With Coverage on the Boom Fantasy app, you can win an entry if one or two of your picks lose. It has two options:
- Entries with 3 or 4 picks: You win if only one pick loses.
- Entries with 5+ picks: You win if up to two picks lose.
For your picks to qualify for Coverage, a minimum multiplier limit applies. You should confirm before submitting your entry.

Based on our review, Boom Fantasy’s biggest advantage is its reputation. Over a decade of operations is no easy feat, and it shows that the brand is established. Considering its clear compliance with state-level laws and age limits, we conclude that the app is legit.
