Signing up with sportsbooks is easy
Getting signed up with an online sportsbook like FanDuel is incredibly easy and free. First, download the app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) and create a free account. The book will then ask for some personal information to verify your identity and eligibility like your legal name, street address, birthdate, and potentially more. When entering personal information, we strongly encourage using a private and secure network.
Be sure to check rules and regulations surrounding Ontario sports betting.
After you’ve created your account, browse the rewards section and select which reward you’d like to use. It’s important to know your options before placing your first deposit so you can maximize your FanDuel experience. Sportsbooks accept an array of options for deposit, such as:
- Debit card
- Credit card
- Bank account
- PayPal
Again, use a private and secure network when making transactions. You don’t have to be located in Ontario to create your account or place your first deposit. However, you must be within provincial borders to place any bets. Some books require downloading a geolocator to prove you’re in a legal province (sorry, VPN users, they won’t get around this).
Once you’ve made your account, selected your reward, and made your deposit, you can now place bets!

Blue Jays Among World Series Favorites
Most books price the Blue Jays (+850) with the second-shortest odds to win this year’s World Series. They’re viewed as the top contender in the American League, behind AL MVP favorite Vladmir Guerrero Jr. Last year, Guerrero paced the MLB in home runs (48) and finished second in AL MVP voting. The Jays also stood atop the big leagues in team home runs behind a loaded lineup of power hitters.
That lineup got even more formidable when the Jays traded for third baseman Matt Chapman from the Oakland A’s in March. Chapman hit 27 homers himself in 2021, second-most on the team.
The Blue Jays open up their season at Rogers Centre on April 8 with a three-game series against the Texas Rangers. In 36 home games last year, Toronto went 25-11 (0.694)– one of the better marks in the league. They split their home season between Toronto and Dunedin, Fla., but return home for a full slate this season.
