FanDuel NFL Survivor Contest 2019

Sports fans have some extra incentive to get in the game with FanDuel during the 2019-20 NFL season. The DFS site is hosting a free survivor contest with a chance for players to win $100,000. How does an NFL survivor contest work?

Participating in a survivor contest is easy. Players look at the complete slate of NFL games and simply pick one team to win each week. Once you use a team, you can no longer use it again. So, for example, if you pick the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1 against the Washington Redskins, you can’t use the Eagles again for the remainder of the contest. Prognosticators who pick a winner advance to the next week to pick again. The pickers who got it wrong are eliminated. It’s that simple. Making those picks sounds a bit easier than it really is. In a league with a salary cap plenty of parity, even poor teams can have a good day. What might have been a sure-thing often sends many survivor participants packing. To make it even more challenging, many survivor pools only allow players to pick a team one time. Players really have to weigh their options.

FanDuel Survivor

FanDuel’s survivor contest follows that same general format. But there are a few things to remember:

• All picks by must be made by Sunday at 1 p.m. (EST). Once they’re made, all picks are final.
• Participants can only pick each team once.
• Players who fail to pick a week will be eliminated.
• Teams that play before Sunday at 1 p.m. (EST) are not available to be picked.

The site will track winners throughout the season. To participate, players simply must have a registered FanDuel.com account. If more than one player wins the contest, those players will split the $100,000 prize.

Another chance at some free FanDuel cash

Along with the survivor contest, FanDuel is also offering players a chance at $10,000 each week throughout the season. In the Gridiron Pick’em contest, users pick a winner of every NFL game on the schedule each week. Any player or players who pick every game correctly will split that week’s jackpot. All picks must be made by 1 p.m. (EST) each Sunday. With 17 weeks in the season, that’s a total of $170,000 up for grabs. Players don’t even have to worry about the point spread – simply pick the winner in each game. Any winnings from either contest will be deposited into a player’s FanDuel account.
